Love this bike

I love this bike. I ride my regular bike in good weather but now that it's getting cold I needed something for indoors, so my husband gave me this bike for my birthday. I ride on it for about an hour a day and get a better workout than on my regular bike. It's so convenient, I know I can ride it everyday, since I don't need to worry about the weather. It's comfort, doesn't take up a lot of space, and is easy to use.

Good bike

I’m enjoying the bike. It’s well built the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is, I have a problem locking the seat in place. There has to be a better way to keep it from moving. This is a design flaw. I was strongly considering purchasing other equipment from the company but now I’m afraid of what problems I may find.

Very nice recumbent bike

I'm very pleased with this bike. Very sturdy and easy to use. Assembly was not that hard either. I watched video on YouTube and had no problems. Thanks very pleased.

i love my bike , i was going to pt for my knees n loved the one there . for this price it feels as nice as the one there that costs much more . the shipping was fast,easy set up ,but it had a loud sound in the 1st seven tention levels ,called customer service they were wonderful ! replaced it and told me not to return the first one . gave that one to my father in law always worried about walking in the winter for his knee replacements. he loves it . now he doesn't have to drive to the VA to ride there in the pt area at this time of covid 19 . very well built and wonderful customer service . i give it 5 stars...

Recumbent Bike

This bike was equipped with excellent instructions! My daughter and I had it assembled in about an hour. I hopped on it and put on 5 miles in no time! I am 63 years old and I LOVE THIS BIKE!!

Sturdy Bike, great price and excellent support.

Bike and parts were packed very well and the pieces were machined to fit perfectly. Only 12 pieces to assemble (14 if you count the pedal straps) Instructions were clear. Easy to move at 53 lbs. Having the screws and bolts numbered on a cardboard holder to match the written instructions was very helpful. Extremely pleased with the purchase and quality. Had to contact seller with a side issue and was assisted via email almost immediately. Seat locks firmly when enough pressure is applied downward. My cell phone found and connected to the Bluetooth immediately, but have not used the programs yet. My only wish would be an optional backlit display with an A/C connection. We're over 72 and it would be worth the extra cost, and very simple to install and replace the existing one. A great product at a great price.

Arrived securely packaged, easy to assemble, feels fairly sturdy. The seat could be more comfortable, but otherwise quite nice.

Best exercise bike ever. I use it every day and am very pleased with the comfort of the bike while peddling. My daughter was able to assemble the bike in an hour = very good instructions.

I have to say that the packaging arrived super secure. It took a couple of hours to put together, but it was well worth it! I like that it has different strength settings. The seat is extremely comfortable. I’m very pleased!

Stationary Bike for Senior

Assemble this stationary bike for my Mom.I found that the tools that are included were useful. Unfortunately, the instructions manual print is way too small. However the screws and bolts were labeled well.The left pedal gave me some trouble, I was tightening the wrong way.Lifting the bike to its rear stabilizer makes it easy to move since it has wheels. The bike is sturdy.Assembled in about 1.5 hours.

Decent for the money

It was a little worried when I saw how small it was as I thought it would be a little bit bigger but it's actually very comfortable..

It took me 2 hours approximately to assemble but I'm not usually very good at that kind of thing..

Pros:

Affordable.

Quiet: It's really smooth and quiet when you are riding it.

Compact : I think it's only 43 in long so it doesn't really take up a lot of room. I have it next to my treadmill in the garage and still have plenty of room.

Tension : The click shift to change the tension is really good. It's very nice that there are 16 different settings which gives you a lot more options for how tough or easy you want it to be. And it's just one click to change it to the next setting so it's very well done and easy to change during the workout.

It'sCons:

As a few other people have mentioned the computer on it is basically useless. The heart rate monitor is so inaccurate it's laughable and most of the information on the computer is not close to accurate.

There's a reason that I'm good treadmills and bikes and other workout equipment you have to enter your weight and your height and your sex so that it can give a fair estimation of how many calories you're burning but a bike with a computer that doesn't ask for any of that information can't give you even a close estimate of how many calories you're really burning. A person who weighs 200 lb is going to burn a lot more calories than a person that weighs 150. I just used the computer as a gauge to compare to previous and future workouts. (The instruction book does come with a fitness app you can download that's supposedly connects with Bluetooth to the computer but the app only has a 1.5 out of 5 star review on Google)

Size: I am 5'10 in about 160 lb and the bike is comfortable for me. I have a lot of workout experience on different equipment and I have a hard time believing this would be comfortable for someone up to 6'2 like it says. And even though it's fairly sturdy I don't think that this would be a good bike for someone up to 280 lb as the seller suggests. I think for women and seniors and for people about my size it's perfect but I think it's probably a little bit small for somebody that's much heavier they might want to go with a little bit heavier duty better bike.No cup holder. That last one is just a little nitpick. It's pretty uncommon though for workout equipment not to have a holder for your drink nowadays but I wouldn't let that be a deal breaker.

Overall: I am happy with the purchase. I spend about 80% of my time on the treadmill but I wanted a bike. I probably would have gone with a higher end bike if I was going to use it more but this is going to be more than adequate and I think it's a good value for the money.

Works well- very comfy seat

Bike makes a clicking noise when I pedal. Not sure what’s going on but doesn’t seem to affect the mechanics so far.

Great, without spending a lot of money!

This exercise bike is so quiet, smooth peddling, has a comfy seat and small enough to move when we want to clean around it. I love the iPad holder and the great display feature. We highly recommend this bike for cold or wet days when you can’t get outside!

Bike is ok, unboxing is a pain in the ass

Unboxing is worse than putting it together!!! WAY TOO MUCH RIDICULOUS UNNECESSARY TAPE!!! It took an hour just to get all the parts out of the box.

Good quality

I did a lot of research on bikes. Considered more expensive, but based on reviews this seemed to be the best. It was easy to assemble, the parts were very well organized. I have used the bike for about a week and so far it's great. I haven't tried all the levels but I can tell a difference between the lower and higher levels so I'll be able to adjust my workout the more I use it. Very happy with this purchase!

Not wobbly. Good buy. However remember the resistance is light. Will give you an easy workout but not a moderate intensity one. Good for zone 2 cardio if you peddle fast.

Vanswe Recumbent bike

This bike is wonderful! When we got it it was missing the hardware. We notified customer service by email. They responded the same day. We received the hardware in 3 days. Very nice people to work with.Love the recumbent bike. I'm 75yrs old & it's nice to have this bike. Very easy to use. So happy with this purchase!

Extremely pleased!!

Had ankle replacement surgery and a very extended rough recovery. I’m at 10 months, still very difficult walking most of the time. Physical therapist said I need to increase strength and flexibility with zero impact. She recommended this bike. It’s perfect, absolutely couldn’t ask for more. Super smooth, totally quiet, doesn’t even take up much space and not difficult for me to move it around (tile floor). Have only been using it a week, and for very short 3-4 minutes 2-3x a day.. but it’s a very positive start. After about 30 seconds of stiff and painful, the ankle loosens up and is pain free the rest of the time peddling, I am using a little tension on it also. The cost of this bike is less than 1 single physical therapy appointment. Well worth every penny.

Perfect bicycle!

My Dad has Parkinson's and he needs to keep moving his legs as part of his PT program. He loves this bike as does my Mom! It's stable, comfortable, and has long handles that provide support when getting up.Best gift I've gotten my Dad in ages! It's also well priced! Such a great purchase, strongly recommend!

Expect bumps in the road

The assembly process for the bike is easy, but expect the bike to be very noisy because the internal wiring was setup incorrectly. This was balanced out by excellent customers service who quickly sent a set of tools to open up the bike and the fix wiring from pressing up against the belt.

Sorry for the trouble caused. The 2025 model has updated internal wiring to prevent this issue.

Great Product and Outstanding Customer Service

I purchased this Vanswe Recumbent Exercise Bike in June 2019. I found the bike very easy to put together, and I have enjoyed using it. It is now over three years later, November 2022, and I found that the right bike pedal had come out of the crank arm and would not stay in. Upon further inspection, I found that the threads of the crank arm that the pedal screws into had become stripped. I wrote to Vanswe Customer Service to find out how to order a replacement crank arm. Vanswe immediately responded that they were sorry to hear of the problem I was having, and they explained that this situation can arise if the bike is used after the pedal has become loose, causing the threads to be stripped. They sent me a new crank arm by FedEx, free of charge. When I received the new crank arm, I found that they had also included a new pedal, tools to complete the repair (including a puller to pull the crank arm off the bike), and complete instructions for how to remove the crank arm and reinstall the new one. I have been very happy with the Vanswe exercise bike these past three years. I am simply ecstatic about their customer service in response to the problem I was having with the pedal. To send me replacement parts three years later, along with the tools needed to fix it, is beyond my expectations. Based on my experience, I have to say that Vanswe stands behind their products. I have such confidence in them that I also recently bought the Vanswe barbell rack for my home gym. It is another great product. I am happy that I chose Vanswe for these purchases.

Worth it!

This exercise bike was worth the price. I have had no issues since purchasing 7 months ago. Putting it together was easy and I've only had to tighten the handle bars once.

Wow!

I received this yesterday and began unpacking immediately. Wow, is this packaging protective or what!. I'm a little disabled but after an hour the whole thing was unboxed and the packaging in the recycle bin. It's partially assembled which made it a dream to assemble the balance. EVERYTHING FIT WHERE IT WAS SUPPOSED TO! Thats incredible. I only rode for a minute or two but it's quiet as all get out. No wonder why it's rated so highly.

This is a solid and well performing exercise bike, I am very happy that I purchased this model. There was an issue with connecting to the app but Customer Service was very quick to respond and solve the problem. I would definitely recommend this Recumbent Bike!

A stationary bike was recommended by my surgeon for knee replacement recovery exercise. Price was right and we like the size. Seems to be sturdy. Happy, so far.

perfect for our needs

This bike is being used for rehab after surgery. As a senior woman I had to put it together myself. It took me approximately 2 hours to assemble. Very happy with how quiet it is, my husband was using it and I didn't know he was still on it until I looked over to the bike.

This bike is AWESOME!

Not only was this bike super easy to put together. It looks great and has a fairly smallish footprint. Tucks into a corner of my room. The digital display is great and I know exactly how long I’ve been riding, how many calories have been burned, my pulse, etc. speeds are perfect and you can change from low to high very easily.The only downside in my opinion is although not difficult, it takes a second to figure the seat movement.

I like everything about this product

Assembly was a bit awkward as I did this by myself, but a youtube video is available for clarification. This bike is comfortable to sit on, and operates smoothly. It is sturdy and quiet. Very easy to move it around the room. This is a second attempt at a stationary bike for in home use, and I believe it will be the last one I will have to buy. Packaging was very good and delivery was exactly as promised.

Good, compact, inexpensive model

I appreciate the low price and compact size of this apparatus. It is blessedly quiet. Pedal mechanism works smoothly.

The seat it just the tiniest bit wobbly, but I believe that is due to the sliding function --- and it has to be slid all the way back to accommodate the length of my legs. The slider has a bit of leeway in its inner dimensions, in order to make it slide more easily --- I imagine that, were it tighter, customers would be complaining that it had a balky slide. I don't notice the wobble when riding, only when getting on & off.

The only real drawback to this, for me, is that the digital display is NOT BACKLIT, so can't be read if you're set up in dim light.I saw in the reviews that someone tall complained about how low to the ground the bike is. I didn't find this to be an issue. There is plenty of leg room to pedal, and - to me - that is the important thing. It is a bit lower than the commercial machines at the gym, but I just figure that hauling myself up from the seat is a last bit of exercise.

;-)This wasn't terribly hard to put together. Someone more experienced could probably have done it in half the time it took me. Ha! I was impressed with the way the little pieces, nuts & bolts, were enclosed. The ones that weren't already loosely attached to the bikes were all organized on a plastic-covered card, in clumps of like pieces, and labeled/numbered, so that it was easy to tell which attachment piece you were looking for. Have never seen something like that, & appreciate it very much. There are some messy-looking welds, but that doesn't really matter, as long as they're sturdy, and they definitely appear to be. It's also nice that there are wheels embedded into the front floor stabilizer, making it easy to move around (relatively, considering its bulk).

Great fit and finish

Very happy with this purchase ! Super easy to assemble and sturdy great features @ this price point.I was looking to buy something gently used locally and considering coordinating the purchase and pick up issues, this wins by a landslide.

Just what I was looking for!

I had knee replacement 3 months ago and wanted to continue to keep/improve my Range of Motion. This bike is perfect. It took about 1 hr to put together. The seat is comfortable and adjustable (forward and back. I move the seat often during workout to get the most stretch and bend I can. The resistance is a nice feature. You can monitor your heart rate by holding handles on the sides of seat.Bike takes up very little space. I would highly recommend!

A great purchase

After considerable research, I decided to purchase the Vanswe recumbent bike over others in the similar price range. I need a recumbent bike to aid in recovery from knee replacement surgery.

The package came early, and I was able to assemble the bike easily. Many of the bolts needed for assembly were partially screwed into the proper locations, and others were shrink-wrapped and labelled on a cardboard sheet. The assembly instruction booklet is clear, but my only recommendation would be to have the diagrams larger. Not a big deal, but sometimes it took a while to figure out. The unit is solidly built and quite stable when I ride it. It is quiet also.

I haven't experimented with the tension control much, yet, but it seems to be working as advertised.

I am 6'0" tall, and I have the seat all the way back, so I would agree that the bike might not be the correct choice for someone much taller.

I'm only a week into my ownership, but all signs indicate that my decision to purchase Vanswe was a good one.

Additional information:

Nearly a year later I am very pleased with the bike. I was able to begin using it the week after my knee replacement surgery and within a month rode it daily for an hour through the winter months. My physical therapist was pleased at how quickly I regained my range of motion and canceled 3 weeks of planned appointments. The unit has held up wonderfully; no problems whatsoever. I would agree with some other reviews that the "computer" is difficult to read, and it also drains batteries quickly. However, since my goal is to use it for a specific amount of time, the readout isn't really that important to me.

Again, this was a five star + purchaseNow 3+ years after purchase, I still use the bike about 3 days a week fot an hour. It has held up nearly perfectly (I had to tighten a few bolts one time, routine , no issues).

Great bike for seniors or for you!

We bought this bike for my father in law for his 89th birthday. He has Parkinson’s so stability is difficult but he wants some exercise. This is perfect. He is a man of few words but said “I don’t deserve this” as soon as he saw it. He hopped right on and in fact it was so exciting my mother in law also has gotten on (she is also 89). She has remarked many times “it doesn’t hurt my knees!” My husband and I have also tried it to have something to do during a conference call or watching tv. Excellent buy, quiet, easy to read screen. Recommend!

Have had for about a month, gets used almost everyday. Very quiet and smooth. The resistance settings are pretty good.

This is a very nice recumbent bike.

The directions for assembly were not clear in some areas. There is a handlebar on the right side of the bile, was difficult to figure how to properly attach it to the bike. We finally figured it out but can’t figure out what purpose it serves. I gave the bike a test ride today and I like it and will use it to strengthen my legs. Not unhappy with the bike just not the easiest thing to assemble.

Perfect Option for 300+ lbs/Mobility Impaired

I am so glad this product exists. I am very overweight (300+ lbs), recovering from ankle reconstruction surgery, and desperately trying to get healthy, lose weight, and take care of my body. Cycling is pretty much my only option for low impact cardio, but I had a very difficult time finding an affordable exercise bike that could hold my weight and fit in a tiny apartment.After thorough research I settled on this Vanswe bike. The price was right and it was one of the few exercise bikes made with people like me in mind. It arrived within a week and I had no issues assembling it. It took me maybe 90 minutes and I did it alone. Some of the parts are kind of heavy/awkward, so it might be a little easier with some help. It fit effortlessly in my microscopic living room, and the wheels make it really easy to move around.I tested it out immediately because I was worried it wouldn’t be strong enough or stable enough for me too use. I was pleasantly surprised and spent the next 20 minutes cycling away. The seat is surprisingly comfortable, though the longer your workout is, the less comfortable it gets.One of my favorite things is that it’s virtually silent, even at high speeds. It is strong and stable enough to support my weight no matter the intensity of my workout. I have been using it twice a day for a couple months now, and it still feels like new and as stable as ever. Between this and altering my diet, I have lost 22 pounds since January 4th, 2021.Worth every penny and perfect for those who are overweight and/or mobility impaired.

Outstanding Customer Service - Great Bike

First off this is a great bike. Sturdy, easy to assemble with easy to follow instructions. Pedaling action is smooth and the resistance levels are great for a me. I ride at level 11 and have gone as high as 13 which gets my heart going in the low 100's. Lower levels are nice for an easy spin cool down. Level 7 is quite an easy spin. resistance starts to kick in at level 10. I'm 61yo, in good shape and this is plenty for me. Computer is basic with no back light but does the job. I think this is a mechanically sound bike that you're not paying a lot of extra $$$ for a bunch of electronics you might never use and wish your $$$ were spent on better mechanical attributes instead like Vanswe's roller bearings and dual drive belts.The really great thing has been the customer service. My bike developed a problem with a noise coming from the gear box but continued to function. I realize even very good products are bound to have a problem one come off the production line from time to time. I was concerned this noise, a periodic clunk sound, would be a problem that would ultimately lead to some sort of failure.I contacted Vanswe, anxious about how customer service would go, and they promptly responded asking me to send them a short video so they could try and diagnose what might be going on. Again they responded promptly and said the problem was hard to diagnose and they would like to send me a new bike. Within 12 days of sending them the video, a new replacement bike arrived on my doorstep. I felt that was great customer service and support. No running around and haggling, straight forward and aimed to keep the customer happy and pedaling.Kudos to Vanswe customer service! That was handled the way things should be when something goes wrong.

Excellent exercise equipment purchase.

This item arrived quickly and as promised and in a box that was fully intact. My wife and I installed the "bike" in a bit over an hour without surprise. I had watched the videos from YouTube including a sample assembly. The instructions were complete and not confusing. We simply took our time and followed the steps outlined in the instruction booklet. In the assembly video, the young man assembling the bike had removed all the bolts/nuts/etc. from the well-labeled card and placed these on sheets of paper also labeled with the sequential part number from the assembly diagrams. We chose to remove these parts as we needed them for each step. We needed a pocket knife to accomplish this and it worked out well and led to keeping the various parts controlled until they were needed.Once the bike was assembled, we both rode the bike for short sessions to verify solidity of the equipment. We paired the computer with my iPhone and after loading the program from the QR coded reference in the manual. My only squabble was that parts of the AP had Chinese labels on some screens. I did not find a way to convert these to English. By experimentation, I determined the Chinese label in the upper right corner was either "Enter" or "Next". I am a large person and feel that the strength of this bike will be adequate to survive my use while I attempt to reduce some of my "dimensions". Both my wife and I are happy with our purchase and feel it is a good buy. Recommended...

Seat locking issue fixed with a new brake sent by seller

Update:

once my original review was published, I was contacted by the seller and was immediately shipped a new brake (though it took a week to arrive). I have since replaced the defective brake with the new one and it resolved both the sliding seat and side wobbling issue.

The defective brake has a round edge. The one that works has 2 sharp edges that when I push the brake handle down , it locks the seat in place. I have now upgraded my rating from 2 to 4 stars. If I had received the good brake to begin with, I would have given it a 5 stars. 

Overall, the bike is good - runs quietly and provides sufficient tension for my purpose. Customer service is not bad neither - quick and responsive.

I bought the bike to stay in shape at home during the COVID-19 lockdown when my gym is closed. I did not want to spend much. The bike arrived on time and was well packaged. There were no missing parts and tools were included. It took me an hour or so to put together. The bike operates quietly and the tension and settings are good. Now the bad part: the seat wobbles from side to side and the seat lock does not work. The seat slides back and forth when I pedal. I ended up putting a couple C-clamps on each end of the tube under the seat to lock it in place. I am the only one using the bike so it works out for me. But I could not fix the side-to-side wobbling.

This review after 2 months use. Assembled easily. Some recent improvements in pre-assembly by the factory, made assembling the seat location/brake parts 'no brainer' easy. Thanks Vanswe.

First use of seat location lever required ALOT of down pressure to engage. Subsequent use is easier, and holds well. TIP-- We put a piece of white tape on the seat rail to help me re-locate to my setting after husbands use.Step through design makes getting on/off as easy. Seat height same as kitchen chairs.

As others have stated, resistance settings 1-6 very very light, no real discernable differences. Still good for motion needed for early knees rehab. Also backward pedaling works just like forward. Same resistance and monitor readings. Higher settings will challenge all but very fit cyclists. Husband avid cyclist gets sweaty and rubber legs at #14 after 20 minutes. He would prefer longer crank arms, but for my therapy the shorter stroke keeps my use for mobility/rehab in the correct range.Very quiet. Very smooth operation.Seat back shaped for nice lumbar support. We both appreciate this unexpected feature.

Husband 5'8" inseam 32", has only one inch of extra seat location (rail) travel. Tall users may not be able to get appropriate 'slight knee bend' at full extension of pedal stroke.

Weakest features are the monitor related.Factory batteries lasted only 2 weeks. So far new AAA 's are lasting better.Screen not back-lit, but tolerable.Heart rate monitor is inconsistent. Husband tested/compared it with his chest strap style monitor, and the readings on this monitor was sometimes close and often up to 10 beats/min off.Over all, very good value product for my re-hab and rainy day/winter exercise for my husband.

I am pleased with my purchase of this recumbent stationary bicycle. My height is 5’2”, weight 130lbs, and age 68. I assembled it by myself following the video demonstration along with the manual. All the parts & tools needed for assembly were well packed & labeled. I watched the excellent video several times before & during assembling of the bike. It has been only three weeks since I started using it, and so far it is performing as it should. It seems well built. The tension levels and the digital box are working well for me. The digital timer, calories, speed, & distance counter display is not lit, but it’s visible. It took me a few tries to learn to reset the counter after each workout by holding down the reset key several seconds after each reading when finished for the day. I really like the built-in shelf over the digital box where I can securely place my iPad or iphone in front of me, so I can read or watch streaming tv programs while exercising. The seat is comfortable and the bike is easy to move around to different rooms. I registered my bike on the website provided on the seller’s thank you card that was packed with the bike, and the seller responded with an email offering a free equipment mat, with free shipping, as a gift for my purchase & registration. I received the mat yesterday and it is a good one. I am glad to have this exercise bike. It is motivating me to stay more active at home.

Pretty nice ride

Very easy to put together - I'm pretty handy. Nice overall size. The computer system seems really accurate with 1 exception. No matter how I try, I cannot get the heart rate sensors on the arms to work right. It's ok - I like my pulse oxcymeter to track my O2 levels - I have asthma. Riding is very pleasant, I'm 5'4" and it was easy to adjust things to fit me. And it's SO quiet! That's awesome.The bike comes with 16 different resistance levels. I didn't find much difference in the levels until I got to 10 and I finally settled on 16 - the highest setting. It still wasn't as much resistance as I wanted or was use to so I reached out to the company. They got back to me within 24 hours with a possible solution. Unfortunately it required I remove a piece I simply wasn't strong enough to do. The main foot pedal that I'm sure is put on with some machine. Not the foot piece - the arm that holds the pedal. Well, I tried. But overall I'm very happy with my choice. And now I have a spot for my kindle so I can read if I want. Well worth the price and the customer service was spot on.

I am more than happy with everything about this! I purchased it to help me with total knee replacement recovery. It was delivered when promised. My husband and I aren’t the handiest but one of the reasons I chose this one after reading tons it reviews was for the ease or putting it together. I can’t believe how well packaged this all came. Everything was numbered and sealed so no parts could be lost. I found a great video online that showed you step by step how to put it together. This, with the great written instructions made putting this together a breeze. Takes about 45 min but not hard to do. It seems to be sturdy but not bulky. I can get seated easily even with my bad knee. The seat is very comfortable. I am so glad I chose this one. It was reasonably priced and all the parts seem heavy duty and well made. It is also very quiet.

I was actually surprised at the excellent quality and "fit and finish" of this machine. Despite claims that the instructions are bad, I found them to be clear and straightforward (ignoring some minor text errors due to a non-English writer-- those don't affect the information). Assembly is easy enough for a 76 year old with a bad back to complete with no issues and in a short time (45 minutes is reasonable). Even the included tools are comfortable to use and didn't require going to my toolbox.

Looks good and operates fine on completion.5 stars but a few notes. Two areas of slight weakness:

the slide box that controls the seat lock could use a stronger housing. No complaints shown in reviews that I saw, but time will tell. The computer is limited and requires extra hands-on to make setting changes and has a rather cheap feel. We'll see.

The seat is reasonably comfortable but cyclists should note that the peddles (good quality!) Have an in-seam max distance of only about 29 inches. Height is irrelevant if you have long legs. In that case you would have to place the peddles under your arches rather than under the balls of your feet. For me, the distance at max is perfect. 6'+ individuals would need to accommodate.How the computer holds up is yet to be seen. But if it failed, I think the bike will still work without those functions displayed. I would want to find a replacement computer.5/22/24:

A month later, I'm still happy with this recumbent bike except for the "computer". As noted, it's a bit clumsy to use but acceptable if not for the failures I've observed. In addition to "Distance", one of the display items is "Odometer" -- continuous session by session accumulated mileage. This morning, it reset to 0 instead of the 67 miles over the past month. Accumulated mileage is important to me while trying to redevelop strength after several years of minimal activity due to injury.Another issue affects the "Heartbeat" sensor. The "instructions" say it may start at a false high rate, but should quickly settle down to real results. Mine has never started high but always starts at low 70s and works very slowly over about 5 minutes up to actual(?) heartrate. Not satisfactory, but not a key measure for me, so I'll leave my original review pending... The net is that the "computer" appears to be marginal at best.As long as the" bike" remains basically functional I'm satisfied -- others may have different needs. If the "computer" fails to properly monitor my session time and session distance, that would be a major hit although it could be replaced with a Fitbit, etc. That should not be a requirement.BTW, the instructions show how the bike can be used with fitness apps downloadable from an app store. Not of interest to me.

Good Bike for Home Use

This bike has been a fantastic addition to my home workout setup. It’s well-designed for both adults and seniors, providing a comfortable, low-impact workout. The seat is well-padded, and the bike is very quiet during use, so I can easily watch TV or listen to music without distraction. The adjustable resistance levels offer a good range for different workout intensities, and the LCD screen is easy to read, tracking all the key metrics.My only minor issue is that assembly took a bit longer than expected due to the unclear instructions and screws need to be tightened every once in a while. Great bike for getting some exercise when it's too hot, cold or rainy to go outside. It's easy to adjust the tension on the pedals, and easy to adjust the seat to accommodate both my 5'4" frame and my husband's 6'1" frame.

Arrived next day. Some reviews said it was difficult to put together or instructions not clear, but this was absolutely not the case. Put together by myself (71 yrs old), 20 minutes to completely unbox and 1 hour to assemble with only tools provided. Instructions couldn't have been more simple or clear. Nice solid unit, no frills, extras or gadgets. It will fill the bill and not break the bank.

Good Quality, Economical bike

Wife needed this for rehab after knee replacement surgery. Probably doesn’t have all the features of higher priced brands, but has everything and more for rehabilitation and we both have continued to use it for exercise since purchase.

Missing instructions, but good

Once we looked the instructions up online, it was fine. It is whisper quiet as advertised, has a footprint slightly larger than my old upright bike, and is very comfortable. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Good recumbent bike for the money

Bought for hubby to use after stroke, to try to regain some strength in his left side. He uses every day and is comfortable spending an hour each day, cudos on the seat design. Only drawback for me is getting him on and off as it isn’t too stable when you grab the front bar, but that’s just in our position, would most likely not be a problem for mobile people.

Works well and our biking fitness is steadily improving. I had to drill through the seat frame where it meets the bike frame and install a bolt/nut as the seat moved back and forth even when “secured” as intended. Otherwise, it’s fine. Woulda been 5 stars but the seat securement appears to be an oversight by the designer.

Great bike for seniors

This is a great bike for seniors. It is rather inexpensive; but works well. It is also light, only 50+ pounds compared to other bikes. The only downside was that, with the great number of nuts and bolts and other pieces, I found it difficult and time consuming to assemble. The expert assembly offered at $90 is a good deal.

Basic Bike - Affordable and Useful For Us

Assembly wasn't too difficult, just a matter of following the instructions. The bike is fine, but the cranks need some padding (we improvised) otherwise they would scratch my wife's ankles.

Smooth peddling - very low noise

The bike took my college student grandson a little over an hour to assemble. All of the tools needed to put it together were included and parts clearly labeled. I bought the bike to build strength prior to knee surgery and for post-surgery rehab. I'm pleased with how quiet it is when peddling and the smoothness of the motion. It's compact size and ease in moving it on the front wheels are plusses. I'm using it at a low resistance level (4) initially and have tested it at somewhat higher levels. I think the bike is suitable for someone building strength and general conditioning but not the machine for someone training for 100 mile rides. It is a good fit for me at 5'4" and seems like it should be OK for someone up to 6'. The major drawbacks are the seat which is cushy and flat and the backrest that has zero lumbar support. I wish it had a firmer seat and mesh-type seatback with lumbar support.

Pros:

easy assembly, no problems with screws/bolts...threaded nicely, extremely quiet ride, super comfortable (accommodates my extremely large 4xl butt!) wide seat, easy adjustments, holds 320lbs without feeling like it’s going to crumble underneath me- even when I’m really giving it my all! 

I LOVE the way I get some good exercise in and it doesn’t hurt my knees and legs...I’m so glad I’ve gotten into recumbent biking!!!

Cons: 

It’s not sturdy enough for me to give a 5 star rating...I’m just over 300 lbs and don’t feel that this bike would feel sturdy for a heavier person. 

I’ve tightened the screws a couple times and feel like I need to baby it. A clunking started in the left pedal after a few days but I believe I’ve fixed it. I just can’t say it’s a high quality machine but I do love the exercise. I will invest in a higher quality machine when this one quits being effective...hopefully I’ll feel like I got my money’s worth before it gives out on me! Honestly though... it was a small price to pay to learn that there is indeed an exercise that I love doing!

Could be heavier for more stability

The exercise bike overall is OK. I think it could be a little heavier so that it doesn’t move so easy when getting on and getting off. Also the computer display could be brighter … hard to read the digital numbers. But it does the trick for me in spite of the drawbacks. I bought it because it had the 380 pound weight limit while most of them (even more expensive bikes) had maximum weights of 300 pounds.

-Comfortable (I have lower back problems and I can sit on the bike for long periods of time without pain)

-Simple design and easy to move around

Cons:

-The LED display is very dim; it is hard to see the miles you log even in adequate lighting

-The high-level resistance is not extremely challenging, but if you are not training for the tour de france most people would be satisfied with this

-The base of my bike is a little unstable; I place a small mat under one of the corners of the base to stabilize it.

-It would be nice if it could fold up for more compact storage, but for a <$200 bike you get what you get.

Don't want to spend too much for a bike, just used when weather is not so great. This bike is a good choice for me. At first there is loud cracking noise once in every 5-10 revolutions, accidentally I found doing reverse works. That eventually fixed the issue by itself. eMailed support and got response promptly.It serves the purpose and fulfilled my expectation.

Great for elderly

Got this bike for my 83 y/o mom. She needs to keep herself moving and isn't very stable outside walking by herself without fear of falling. This very stable bike gives her the ability to stay safe and work to keep her muscle tone.It is easy for her to get on and off and has a comfortable seat.

Very Good Basic Bike

This is a great basic bike but that's just it, it's good at its basic use, anything more than that and there's issues. The lcd screen randomly shuts off and needs to have the batteries removed and reinserted to turn it back on....no idea why. Also the Bluetooth refuses to connect to the app... which is poorly made and partially in Chinese, It shows up on the app but when you click connect it loads for a minute then flashes something in Chinese before going back to the homescreen.Just don't buy this expecting anything stellar and you'll be happy.

Overall a great product

Overall a great product. Very easy to assemble. The size is perfect for smaller spaces. My only small qualm is the resistance all the way up could be a bit tighter but again overall, this is not bad for the price and ease of use.

We bought this bike for both of us. He is 6' 1 1/2" with a 34" inseam and his knees are too bent to be comfortable. It took about an hour and a half to 2 hours to assemble.

Sturdy but some flaws

Great price and initially very quiet but is starting to click while pedaling and the screen went out almost immediately so I am not using that part since i went be putting batteries in it in a weekly basis. Still so glad to have it and very sturdy for a large girl

I (40, female) researched several recumbent bikes before selecting this one. It seemed like the best balance between the features I wanted and the price I was willing to pay. I got it as at Christmas, but finally just put it together. I don't know why I waited so long as it only took me 50ish minutes to put together by myself. The directions were very easy to follow!It's very comfortable. Light enough that it's super easy to move. The lights on the display are nice and bright. Love the phone holder. And it's SO QUIET! My old was was used when I got it and is very loud. The batteries that came with it died within 5 minutes and I was worried that something was wrong with the bike, but I popped new batteries in and it was just fine. The 1st bluetooth app it suggests in the directions is all in Chinese and wouldn't work. The 2nd app works just fine and paired with the bike easily. I wish the app and/or bike would connect to my FitBit, but it doesn't. I didn't try the 3rd app.Love this bike and I'm glad I purchased it!

Great for large individuals

I bought this bike specifically for its weight capacity and I am very impressed by how much I can move in it. My only complaint would be that the locking seat in place mechanism doesn't work very well, but I believe this is due to my weight and not the machines fault. I look forward to using this all the time!

I have degenerative disc disease so my doctor has limited me to low impact exercises only. This bike is perfect. My 13 year old and I put it together in about an hour. The display works fine and the stand is nice for propping up my kindle.

I received the package, which was free shipped, very shortly after I ordered the exercycle. The exercycle was certainly fairly priced. After reading the assembly instructions, the cycle was put together very quickly and without difficulty. I have been riding the cycle for 3 weeks now and have been very pleased with my purchase. It is of solid construction and very, very comfortable. I would recommend it to anyone.

Just what I was looking for. Very quiet and comfortable to use. All the features you need. I am a cancer patient and need to build leg bone and muscle strength after surgery. This will do it. Sturdy little bike.

Received earlier than expected, very good price, not to hard to assemble, love the cushy seat, very quiet, and love the big numbers on the screen. The only downside, is the straps on the pedals, it is hard to get them into the slots for size. I think, Velcro or something else along that line, would be easier. Overall, a great product.

Overall, it is a good device

I have had this bike for about three months now. Overall, I am satisfied, I feel I am getting a decent workout. This device is a replacement for a much more expensive device that lasted 6-7 yrs, that is my basis for comparison. The drawbacks of this device are:

1) The resistance on this bike is not very great, I have to pedal really fast to get my heart rate over 120.

2) The heart rate monitor is crap, it seems to be completely random, and is at best about 5 bpms below my actual rate, as measured by a fingertip pulse oximeter that agrees exactly with my manually measured heart rate. Sometimes, the bike reports a heart rate that climbs continuously, peaking in the 170s, far far higher than actual.

3) The two AAA batteries do not seem to last very long, maybe a month. Aside from these issues I am satisfied.

Assembly wasn't technically challenging, as all components were clearly marked. It arrived in a single awkwardly sized box, required two of us to move it.Build quality seems pretty good. It's still looking like new after almost daily use by my wife and I. The "computer" requires batteries, and I've had to replace them monthly, and the Bluetooth app is fairly bad. The "pairing" (it doesn't really pair) is not intuitive and I'm not even certain how I got it to work. There's no ability to turn the computer off.Lastly, for exercise, the maximum difficulty setting became very easy for us after 1 month, so yes, we got fitter, but also feels like maybe the internal resistance is getting weaker.

Great value for the price

I absolutely love this recumbent bike! It was better than I expected. The seat and peddles are comfortable and with the seat being able to slide to the perfect position for my 5’10” frame, it makes biking pleasant. The only downside to this bike is that there is no backlight on the monitor so it is hard to see the distance, time, calories and so forth. Buy the way I weigh close to 300# and I bought this bike to help me lose weight. The bike feels sturdy enough for my weight. I rarely write a review but I was blown away with the value for the price of this recumbent bike.

a good product for the price.

This is a good starter recumbent bike. Very few bells and whistles but well made and very good food the price. Easy to assemble with just a little help. Only downside I have experienced so far is that the resistance is limited. I have taken it to the 8-10 range before really noticing any resistance. Also, if you are over 6 feet tall, I could see that possibly putting you at the limit on the adjustable seat. Overall, a good product for the price.

SO QUIET, SO EASY TO USE, SO STURDY!

We absolutely love this bike. My husband had both knees replaced and needed to keep moving them. Perfect bike! We set it up in the living room. We can still watch TV when using the bike! It is ultra quiet! We just couldn't say enough about how great this bike is. Also, the manufacturer called after we had it for a couple weeks, to see how it was working out! Who does that any more!!?? Highly recommend!!!!

Very impressed! Use after fusion surgery

Bought this bike after reading the reviews and comparing models. Very heavy box. I put this bike together by myself ( woman) took me almost 2 hours. I don’t recommend doing by self. Had to hold parts up and screw in. The instructions were very easy to follow with the screws and bolts each sectioned off in the wrapper. Very nice. Had difficulty with right pedal staying on and screwing in correctly. Once I read the instructions that were attached to the actual pedal I got it. The seat is very stable. I am 40 lbs overweight. Able to move bike with no difficulty, 7 months after back surgery. The resistance is great if I want more. Like the little groove for my phone. The monitor is great. Keeps track of pulse, calories, distance and time. I was an avid gym gal before surgery and this bike is well worth it! Great bike for the home. Great value.

Quality’s item and great customer services.

Well the thing seems pretty sturdy and relative to the cost. It is straightforward but has some nice bells and whistles with the digital display but it’s quite and easily moved.It initially came broken after a spent about 30 mins assembling. So far, so very good

We've used this for only a few days but so far this recumbent exerciser bike is working well. The instructions for the touch screen should be clearer and the locking cam will not lock at first. But do NOT force the locking lever down; it's breakable. Simply having one's legs on the pedals keeps you in position, and on ours the cam gradually worse down in a day or so to the point it easily locked. I am a five-ten and like to fully extend my legs when pedaling. I'm maxing out the adjustment. Be sure you want it before you unpack it, because it may be returned in only the original packing, which is destroyed in the unpacking. A great advantage to this style is that when in use your arms are free, allowing you to exercise them with weights and/or prop a device in a space above the touch screen. Unpacking it took about as much time as assembling (the nuts and bolts are tucked in the bottom of one of the styrofoam dividers); my wife is highly allergic to noise and thinks it's almost silent. It's easy to roll around, and smaller than it appears in the photo.

Excellent value, sturdy bike

When it came box had a few holes/dents from shipping but contents were packaged well and not damaged. Putting it together wasn't too tough, only challenge came with the seat adjuster. You do need to take a little bit of care making sure you assemble it correctly. And then when it comes to actually locking the seat in place to you do need to put a bit more force than it looks like. At first I was afraid I didn't put it together correctly but when I came back to the reviews and saw others had the same problem it and did apply more force I could feel it lock in place. Have used it a few weeks now and its very sturdy, not noisy. Large comfy seat. The battery in meter has already died, I'll replace that and see if dies again right away. For me personally its not a big deal but might deduct half a star if that keeps on happening. I'm only using it on the lower tensions at the moment so can't comment on that. Also haven't used the pulse or bluetooth features. Overall very happy with my purchase and its use and would recommend for anyone looking for a basic recumbent bike.

Worth Every Penny

I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of this relatively inexpensive recumbent bike. Assembly was straight forward and I put it together myself in just about 90 minutes. I have only been using it for a week so, this is not a long-term review. It is a solid little bike; no rattling, squeaks, clicks or movement where there should not be any. It feels very sturdy as I ride it. I am 6'0 and weigh 195 pounds and it supports my frame without any issue. I have the seat set back at maximum length right now and have not attempted riding it on another setting yet, but so far it works great. I am also happy with the footprint. It is not bulky and fits my space nicely. It is easily moved by one person with the use of the built-in front casters. I am especially impressed with the whisper-quiet operation of the magnetic resistance wheel. Not a sound. The tensioner works great for my needs. The computer seems to be working fine but I do not think it is very accurate (measures such as distance traveled and calories burned seem optimistic) - but again, for my needs, the timer is the most important function which does work just fine. It sits low to the ground so be prepared to deal with that if getting up and down will be challenging. I hope it will last the 3-6 months I need it to! So far, this little piece of equipment has exceeded all of my expectations at the price point. I recommend this if you are not looking for a recumbent bike that gets the job done.

As long as the" bike" remains basically functional I'm satisfied -- others may have different needs. If the "computer" fails to properly monitor my session time and session distance, that would be a major hit although it could be replaced with a Fitbit, etc. That should not be a requirement.

BTW, the instructions show how the bike can be used with fitness apps downloadable from an app store. Not of interest to me.

The app doesn't work at all

Like: this bike has a lot of pieces but they all fit and went together easily.

The bone is solid, silent and well made.

Don't like: i downloaded the app and you can ONLY get a message in Chinese! I know it's asking for permission so i gave it access and all i get in return is the continuing message in Chinese. That is total BS. If you can't provide an app in English then either don't sell it in the US or tell the buyer the app won't work.

Overall: is a well made solid, quiet exercise bike so i gave it 4 stars despite my unhappiness with the app. I spent a little more on this bike than i wanted to spend to have the app. I could have spent less money for the same quality that didn't have an app. So, i have no app and spent too much. Despite my 4 star review, i feel a little ripped off. Do better for your customers.

Great bike, hope it lasts me a long time!!!

Pros: easy assembly, no problems with screws/bolts...threaded nicely, extremely quiet ride, super comfortable (accommodates my extremely large 4xl butt!) wide seat, easy adjustments, holds 320lbs without feeling like it’s going to crumble underneath me- even when I’m really giving it my all! I LOVE the way I get some good exercise in and it doesn’t hurt my knees and legs...I’m so glad I’ve gotten into recumbent biking!!!

Cons: It’s not sturdy enough for me to give a 5 star rating...I’m just over 300 lbs and don’t feel that this bike would feel sturdy for a heavier person. I’ve tightened the screws a couple times and feel like I need to baby it. A clunking started in the left pedal after a few days but I believe I’ve fixed it. I just can’t say it’s a high quality machine but I do love the exercise. I will invest in a higher quality machine when this one quits being effective...hopefully I’ll feel like I got my money’s worth before it gives out on me! Honestly though... it was a small price to pay to learn that there is indeed an exercise that I love doing!

Solid bike at a great price

This bike is solid and a great purchase for someone trying to increase their stamina, but it’s also challenging on the higher settings for someone who is more accustomed to exercise. The seat is comfortable and even though one of our users is at the top of the weight limit it feels very solid. Absolutely no complaints. Assembly took about half an hour and only needed a second person for a few things.

Very happy with this exercise bike! It arrived in less than 2 weeks. It was easy to assemble. Seating is comfortable and no rocking (make sure the lever on the right for seat adjustment is pulled fully into place), and an ultra smooth quiet ride. I heard the movie on my husband’s iPad, not the bike, as he was riding it! We are both greatly enjoying this addition to our exercise regimen. The higher settings provide us with adequate resistance. Great product!

Exercise Bike

Five stars. Arrived withing two weeks all tightly packed. All parts were there. Used the guide to easily assemble the bike and ended up with no parts left over. (Thank goodness) At one time we watched the video online for assembling and it was perfect. Verrrrrrry quiet bike and comfortable. We are going to get a lot of use of this since we are staying home so much now. I would buy this again or recommend that others would like it too.

Workout for Both

After reding reviews, I was convinced that I wanted this bike. I was attracted to its size and mobility. I liked the fact that it does not have a bar to climb over which makes it easy to get on and off. I like that it was appealing to seniors. My husband is 78 and I am 75. We are like Mutt and Jeff, since he is 6' and I am 4'11. I was worried that I am too short to ride this bike, but felt confident after reading a review for someone who is 4'11. This bike is perfect for both us and we each ride it at least 30 minutes a day! My reason to buy this bike was for recuperation of my knee after total knee replacement. Good exercise for my entire body! Highly recommend this bike and the price is reasonable! YAY!

Sturdy but!

Sturdy bike but , low to ground, feet sometimes rub floor . Not very adjustable on tension , level 1 is lite two is hard higher is just not doable ,I have been in therapy for 12 weeks on a level 5 setting

Unfortunately upon initial use I discovered that there was a defect in the tension feature. I phoned customer service on a Friday evening and received a response the next morning. After a few hours The seller informed me that they were voluntarily going to ship a new bike as a replacement. The replacement was received within five days.

Display Panel Dead

I just purchased this bike, and it worked well for about two weeks. Then the display panel stopped working.

I replaced the batteries three times, and even re-connected the cables to the unit itself, still nothing.

Quite ride

I like how easy it was to put together, and how quiet it is. I’ve had other more expensive bikes that weren’t near this quiet. Fits great in the space I have. Very well built. Overall a good bike but not perfect

I have had the bike for over a week. I’m over 60, and have arthritis in a knee where I was advised to keep it moving. Overall, I really like the bike.A+ onthe instructions, The hardware is clearly labeled, and the instructions are step-by-step through the entire assembly . it took me about five hours to put it together and I’m a novice. They include tools, thankfully.Only two cautions I would note to the viewer: 1. While, they take a lot of care to make certain the bike hardware has not got hard edges for the rider, the rail where the seat sits does not have protection. You’ll see in the image above that I have taped that edge with some packing material. It would only be a matter of time before I hurt myself on that while getting in and out of the bike. While you could lift your leg over the seat to avoid it, if you’re in a hurry, you’re not going do that.2. The computer they have is not a good one. I like the fact that you can put your iPad or iPhone on it. However, their button stick and their display does not work as promised. They did for about a day or two and now they stick and don’t function properly.I’m not sorry I got it, it’s comfortable to ride in front of the television and I can easily pop in time while I’m watching my morning news, or any other program at night.

I have severe knee arthritis, and I want to get my BMI down before I get the replacement surgery. I walk about 20 minutes a day - but I have to go slow and be careful, and I often have to ice my knee for a while afterwards. I need to do more than that to make a dent in my weight loss goals.I’ve tried recumbent bikes before at the gym, but I couldn’t get them to fit, and it was uncomfortable. I bought a Marcy recumbent bike a few years ago, but I junked it because it was wobbly, the seat and back were terribly uncomfortable, and I just couldn’t make myself use it.This Vanswee recumbent bike is the answer to my prayers! It’s solid, VERY comfortable, quiet, and I think it’s beautiful!My nephew put it together in about an hour (I paid him with a loaf of homemade bread) and I used it right away. I have really short legs, but scooting the seat up all the way fits perfectly.It’s so quiet and smooth to ride that my dog lies down right next to it when I’m riding. I have to work to get my heart rate up to 85% of max, but 20 minutes at even 75% makes me feel energized.So now I’m walking 20 minutes, riding 20 minutes, and doing 15-20 minutes of strength training with TRX straps and light dumbbells. The Vanswee is such a joy to use, it’s going to be a great anchor for rebuilding my exercise habit. Seriously, I can be watching tv and I look over at it and I want to get on and go!

VANSWE Recumbent Exercise Bike for Adults Seniors

Once we received the bike, I assembled it without any problem. Instructions are clear and I was amazed at the quality of this bike. I have used it for 1 hour straight and the seat is very comfortable and the bike does not wobble! My wife has knee issues and loves it. She has used it twice on the no resistance mode for 1 hour each time without pain! She can peddle comfortably and exercise the upper body at the same time without holding the handles. It is a very sturdy bike, good quality and good price, do not hesitate to buy it!

This recumbent bike looks to be a winner!

I purchased the red and black version from the manufacturer for about $220 with tax and it arrived in just a few days. It was one of the returned bikes rather than brand new, to save a few dollars, but this bike had never been out of the box and as far as that goes that option is a good way to save $30+ from the start.The box is a bit heavy and the packaging is very secure. Lots of tape and Styrofoam, and a bit of frustration getting all the parts out of it, but after that it really isn't that bad. I didn't have a ton of room to set up and lay everything out in a very organized manner, and I was watching TV while I did it and other than one or two 'hold on, do what now?' moments with the instructions I would say it was a breeze to put together. This is my first time putting together a bike and it took me probably 45 minutes or so, maybe a touch more, but the hardest part is getting it out of the box. Assembly is honestly not that bad and I would say that just about anyone could do the job solo.And as for the recumbent bike's quality . . .I am right around 6'2 and a big guy, so I was concerned whether the bike would hold up with my big butt pedaling away day after day. But upon using it I am pleased to say that I do think this bike will hold up for at least a few years and it is pretty comfortable. My last bike was an upright model and it was not only very uncomfortable but in very bad shape, so I decided to try something new with this recumbent. Have never used one until today, and it is a whole new world of comfort compared to an upright. I have back issues so this bike is a godsend for me, as I can burn a few calories and not suffer too much in the process.I don't care about the pulse readouts or any of the Bluetooth features, the various programming you can employ with this bike so I don't know how well that stuff works. When I ride I just wanna know the time, distance and maybe the calories. It has a large readout and uses two AA batteries. It also has a place to put your phone or tablet so you can watch videos, but my bike is right in front of my TV anyway so I don't think I will be needing that feature.The seat and backrest are comfortable but I did add my own cushion for extra comfort and something to protect the back rest from sweat.Other reviewers mention their height being an issue. At my height I am perfectly comfortable but I could see someone two or three inches taller probably not being 100% satisfied with it.It doesn't take up a ton of space and seems to be pretty well made. While I always think the price could have been lower for most things, I do think this bike is a good value and I do recommend it, even for the bigger guys.Best bike I have ever had. I actually still have a spare upright bike that I could be using, but after trying this out I don't think I will ever want anything other than a recumbent bike now. Too comfortable! Forget other bikes. This recumbent has made a huge difference in my level of back pain while riding. Buy it!

At 5’2 it is hard to find a bike that I can lean back on and still reach the pedals. If you’re on the shorter side this is the bike for you. Overall it works great and was fairly easy to assemble. The frame can be a little wobbly but not that bad. Great buy for the money!

It is low to the floor and as a senior easy to get off and on. The only thing I can say negative is the place where you put the batteries just fell off and can’t put back on so can’t set the programmer and this happened right away but I kept because I used by timing Alexa

Not for cardio, but good for beginners or rehab

I hunted for days, read what felt like endless reviews, mostly the bad ones, and decided on this. All of the parts were there and it was easy for me to put together by myself. The only thing I could detect that might make me miserable was the plastic coated seats which I knew about before purchase. Too sweaty and hot, but I was willing to overlook that if it worked. It's also whisper quiet which is nice. So, I get it together and get on to adjust the seat, I started to pedal and it was far too easy for me so I looked down to adjust it thinking it was at the lowest level and it wasn't. It was at the HIGHEST. I kept pedaling thinking it would get more difficult the longer I pedaled. It didn't. I have had bikes like these in the past, with dial resistance, but have never had a problem like this before. With tension up to 16, I thought I would be set. That 16 would be unachieveable, but I just rode for 45 minutes and barely broke a sweat. It's not like I'm going to take it apart and tetris back into the box. That's next to impossible. I'm going to try to reach out to the company, but I'm not holding out hope there. The reviews mentioned a lot of difficulty getting help for any issues. If I have a favorable result with customer service, I will edit my review.May 15th edit - This bike was not for me, I gave it to my husband who is not as cardio conscious as I am, They sent me a refurbished bike, that looked brand new and has much better resistance for me, within a week of our first communication. When I had a problem with a part on the new one, they sent me replacement parts right away. All in all, I am thrilled with my experience with this company and happy with my new bike so far.

Decent Bike - Expensive to Ship for Return

Once I received and assembled the bike, I realized it was not going to work for me. I tried using it a few times, but I couldn't get into it. I'm 6' 4" and I think I was too tall for it despite inseam measurements being in range. The seat wobbled and didn't feel the most stable, but I think it could be better for someone who is shorter. I agree with other reviews stating that this bike doesn't have much resistance. So, if you are seeking a bike with higher resistance, I would look elsewhere. Overall, the bike is sturdy enough and looks nice, but not for me.After discussing with the seller, they graciously agreed to provide a full refund. Initially, it was only going to be a partial refund. However, I did still have to pay to ship it back to the seller. Shipping was quite expensive. I wouldn't buy this bike if you are on the fence and think you may need to return it.

Don't Hesitate to Order this Bike!

I was wary of purchasing an exercise bike online, because I wasn't sure I would receive exactly what I wanted. I made sure to research the products out there and found quite a number of excellent reviews about the Vanswe Recumbent Bike.

Having recently had a total knee replacement with another one pending, I wanted to be sure that what I purchased would allow me to begin a low-impact workout to regain strength and exercise the joints without being too strenuous. I also wanted something with decent back support and a bike that would not be too cumbersome to move or take up too much space. I decided to purchase this bike and am happy to say that it has met and exceeded my expectations!The bike arrived well packed and was easy to assemble.

When completed, it is lightweight enough to relocate to other rooms, especially because it has transportation wheel to allow ease of movement. The bike does not take up a lot of space and is quiet when in use. I like the 16 levels of resistance, because I am able to start out with as little tension as necessary and build up as my knees get stronger. The high, padded back and seat are simple to adjust and offer good support during exercising.

As far as reviews that stated this bike is not good for tall people, for reference I am just over 5 feet and my son is 6'1" and we both are able to adjust this bike to fit our heights and use it without any problems. The bike is sturdy and easily supports 250 lbs. or more.

The LCD Display is clear and provides exactly what I need. It shows the total time exercised, speed, distance, an odometer reading and calorie counter. I also really like the pulse rate monitor which is located on pads on the handlebars. You don't have to fuss with a lot of different settings and the display is easy to program and reset.

You can also place a tablet or cell phone on the tablet support in front of the display. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the bike does have adjustable pedal straps, as I had noted some reviews stated it did not. 

The straps hold my feet securely, but I do suggest wearing athletic or tennis shoes as you really cannot use the bike properly wearing socks or barefoot.

Overall, this bike offers many great features at a very reasonable price. I am very happy with my purchase and feel this bike would be an asset not just to seniors or persons with arthritis or knee problems, but to anyone looking to begin an exercise or weight loss program.

Best $250 I've spent

I bought this bike in April 2022, and so far it has taken from 330lbs down to 220lbs over several thousand miles. I've only needed to change the batteries twice in that time, too.It has two wheels so you can lift up an end and roll it, but it's also light enough to just pick up and move across the room, which is nice if you just don't want to risk scratching your wood floors like me.I'm 6'1", and it is a tiiiiny bit too small for my preference - I'd love if I could move the seat back just another inch, but it's not uncomfortable as is. I just can't quite fully extend my legs.I had an issue once where the screen stopped working, even with new batteries, but it was a simple fix of just unplugging and reconnecting the cables. Given how easy the bike was to put together, this was a 2 minute repair with a screwdriver.The seat has squished down a bit over the months and sometimes gets a bit uncomfortable on extended rides. I haven't looked to see if there's a way to restuff it, but it doesn't look like Vanswe sells replacement seats. Admittedly, I haven't actually reached out to them directly, so I could be wrong.Overall, I am VERY satisfied with this exercise bike and still using it almost every day. With any luck, this thing will continue to carry me down another 40lbs!

Great Recumbent Exercise Bike for Seniors

I would give more than 5 stars if I could. I depend on verified reviews when I am purchasing an item that I have never had. The reviews for this exercise bike were very encouraging and after receiving ours, I wanted to add my own recommendation. The package was promised to be delivered by FedEx on either Friday or Saturday after my order - it arrived on Friday. Because the carton in which the bike was shipped was in such good shape, we put it aside for a couple of days since we weren't sure how long it would take for assembly and we had a busy weekend. When we began to assemble, the first thing that caused us to comment was the amazing job of packaging. EVERYTHING inside the well-secured carton, was cushioned in styrofoam, covered in plastic and taped. Nothing inside the package had shifted at all. The directions were straightforward and easily understood with helpful pictures for each step. I don't believe they could have possibly made the instructions any clearer. The two tools required for the assembly were included. Hardware was fastened onto a cardboard backing behind molded plastic, and each group of nuts/bolts were very clearly marked. We're both 75 years old and had no problem assembling the bike in less than an hour. The seat is very sturdy and comfortable, operation is simple, the mechanism makes absolutely NO sound when it's being ridden, and we feel as though we more than got our money's worth. We would definitely choose this piece of exercise equipment again and I highly recommend it. Kudos to the seller!

Great product, some assembly required.

Don't look at the "exploded diagram" in the instruction manual! It could induce heart failure in the mechanically inept (of which I am a prime example). The bicycle is not shipped as a bundle of loose parts. In fact, the product assembly video is scarier than it should be. The 2021 product I received didn't have thirty-some different parts. Many parts shown in the video are already in place, so you just have to remove and reinstall them, not find them loose. 

I did most of the construction on my own, but some parts are easier to deal with for two people. For example, the rear bar (that probably isn't how they refer to it) was easier to connect if one person supported it while another person inserted the bolts. 

The preinstalled parts simplified determining what went where, but if you watched the video, it could lead you astray. For example, the assembly including the monitor and front bars have two wires that need to be connected. If you connect the wires, as the video suggests, before you attach the tube, you have to remove and replace the screws while the tube dangles from the wires. OK if two people are involved, a little stressful if you are assembling alone. Connect wires as late as possible, after all screws and bolts have been backed out. 

We found it convenient to have our own Phillips screwdriver. The combination wrench/screwdriver that was supplied was usable, but clumsier than a conventional screwdriver. Conversely, the crescent wrench shown in the video was less useful than the thin wrench supplied for attaching the pedals.

We would like to have been able to control which measurements scan by as you exercise. My 98 year old mother in law is only interested in time and distance. (She puts me to shame by insisting on daily exercise.) She said she'd like to have even less resistance, but she didn't get to 98 by being a wuss.

Mechanically inept as I am, I can appreciate solid construction. This product will outlast me, but maybe not my mother in law.

Solid entry level exercise bike

Pretty standard equipment that serves its purpose just fine. I was surprised about all the Wah-Wah complaints about assembling, it wasn't that big of a deal to put together. The assembly directions were very thorough and easy to follow. The illustrations were spot on and the components were clearly marked when directional was important (up, down, left, right). It took me and my husband an hour to complete from when we first opened the box. I must add that I was confused with a part that was attached by a screw to the frame, I think it was there to keep the monitor wires in place, after much worrying that surely I need this little piece of pipe, I noticed it or its screw wasn't on the illustration so I sat it aside. Pay close attention to the illustrations when it comes to which side to insert the screws, washers and bolts.

I made the right decision !

This little thing is all I hoped. Sturdy, comfortable and takes so little room. I live in a condo. No extra space, if you know what I mean. I would recommend this bike to everyone even if you have lots of room you won’t be sorry. ??

.I am a 79 yr old woman and had used a recumbent bike in the gym I went to that closed because of Covid. Because I live in Vermont, I was looking for indoor exercise because winter isn’t always conducive to walking. Since I enjoyed using a recumbent bike, I decided to purchase one for my basement. I did a lot of research before buying. If you’re looking for a recumbent bike that’s not too pricey or big, easy to assemble rides and operates like a much more expensive bike and has great customer service, this is the bike to buy. It is a perfect senior cardio workout at home with several levels of resistance, LED monitor that works well, monitoring time, speed, distance and pulse rate all with 2 AA batteries. Blue tooth connectivity and adjustable seat and is very smooth and very quiet. I loved it and used it almost everyday. However, because I always pedaled in reverse at the end of my workout during cool down for maybe 5 minutes, after 6 months, one pedal unscrew from the crank and the thread was stripped. I immediately contacted the company by phone. They asked me to.email a picture of the part I needed and bingo the problem was resolved in very little time. The customer service was fantastic, friendly, polite and professional, exactly as I had read about in other reviews. If you’re looking to purchase a piece of exercise equipment that has all the features I mentioned above, don’t hesitate to buy this one but I suggest you don’t pedal in reverse.

Easy to use!

Set up took about 45min. Is exactly what I was looking for. Easy to use, affordable and simple. I can read, listen to music and it's very quiet. Takes up a small amount of space in my living room. It doesn't have all the fancy programs but that's not what I wanted. It fits my needs perfectly and it didn't cost me a thousand dollars. Well built. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Basic yet sturdy

When I ordered this I had a slight hesitation on exactly how sturdy it would be and if it would actually hold the weight as it claimed. First of all it came early by about 4 days! It is a bit heavy but manageable. It took me a little over an hr to completely assemble all on my own as I was careful to read and follow directions exactly ...and it was pretty simple. The machine is overall very sturdy and does at least hold 350lbs without issues. I did find that the seat is ever so slightly wobbly in the area of where it slides back and forth for adjustment, but I couldn't feel it while on the machine only while watching my son on it. It may be just the small amount of size difference in the square tubing to allow it to slide when adjusting but it by no means hints to poor quality or malfunction. All components work as they should. Great product.

Great bike

Like the 16 different tension positions and it is very comfortable to use.

Everything works.

I have just unboxed and assembled it. It's good to have a scissors or box cutter in addition to what comes with it. As a senior who is handy, mechanically inclined, but weak, assembly after unboxing took me an hour and 15 mins. The instructions were good enough (I'd grade them a C+) and the nuts, bolts, etc. are either preassembled or in the well organized blister pack. The included tools were a bit difficult but working slow and steady got the job done. Everything works, though the seat was awkward to adjust. The seat is comfortable and at 5'5" I could easily reach everything. I hope to use the bike to strengthen my legs as arthritis is now affecting my hips. My orthopedist said to stop walking and either bike or swim.

My wife and I like the bike so far. We generally ride it six days a week, 30 minutes each. I assembled it by myself and took about three hours. The instructions were clear and easy to understand. I like the small size and how quietly it operates, since I ordered it to replace a big Schwinn 230, which was not only heavy to move but had begun to make a clunking noise in the wheel. Also, the digital display had gone out.My only complaint about the Vanswe Bike is the small, battery-powered display screen. Except for the timer, I've decided I can live without all the readout info. And honestly, given the bike's size and light weight, I'm wondering how long it will last. Assuming it does its job for a couple of years at least, I'd consider buying another one.

Great Product and Support

With so many recumbent bike choices on line, it was a task to compare features. I was glad I took the time to find the Vanswe. With the weight range, up to 380 lbs, I felt that the bike had to be very sturdy. It was also in a price range that made sense. Since it arrived, I could not be more impressed with the bike and the tech support. The bike came in a heavy duty carton with several nylon straps to prevent damage and easy opening. Each component had its own foam slot. Assembly instructions were great and even included an IPB so you could see every part on the bike. In less than an hour, I was riding the bike and was amazed that it made no noise at all. When deciding on this bike, I was also drawn to the seat size and thickness. The seat and backrest are great. Everything has worked perfectly. I however, cannot speak to the Bluetooth process as I do not have a smartphone. I called to register the bike and claim the extra gift that was offered. Their phone answered right away and I got to talk to a live person. Had a question about the seat rail locking lever and got the answer right away. I also asked about the peddle strap that was pictured on the website. Both extra gift and straps with peddles arrived in a few days. I have received two calls from Vanswe. The first was to ask how I was doing with the bike and did I have any questions. The second was to assure that the gift and peddles had arrived. Having bought hundreds for item on the internet, I can’t remember any vendor calling after the purchase to see how I was doing. This speaks volumes as to the quality of support. Seeing that our Medicare advantage programs will pay the entire cost of the bike, my wife will be ordering a second bike soon.

We absolutely love it

I have injured my low back while training for a marathon last year, for over a year no one has really pinpoint the root of the cause. Needless to say I've been in pain all this time and couldn't really walk for exercise. I recently found out that I could ride a recumbent bike without too much of a problem (since it has a good back support), so looking for one that is reasonably priced and with good reviews. Trying to decide between this one and one by Marcy, I think based on the large seat and seatback and a larger screen, I decided on this one. It did not disappoint us. My husband put it together with not much effort. It is very quiet, sturdy (we sat it on the carpeted floor). The customer service was absolutely wonderful, I asked them how to register our bike for warranty, they registered for me after I emailed my receipt to them. I asked them how to sync my workout to the fitness app mentioned in the manual, they walked me through step by step, that's all within a couple of hours after my email to the customer service. We couldn't be happier with this purchase.

So Far Meets Expectations

Packaged well. All parts clearly marked, and the tools worked well. Instructions easy to follow, Actually put this together sitting in and office chair.Have not had it long enough to determine long term like or dislike. Just started to use it.Only concern or complaint and why the 4 start overall is about my knees coming up and slightly bumping the handle bar. I'm at 6' and have a 30 inch inseam, so I thought I would have plenty of room. It works, just have to be smooth when riding it.Over all very secure feeling - and I'm on the heavier side.Very nice size for a smaller room, and easy to shift a little.

Excellent Customer Service

I am an 80 year old male. I am obese, in poor cardio health, and I live alone. My recumbent bike was delivered in good condition with no visible damage to the shipping box. The recumbent bike was unpacked and assembled (by myself) without incident. I was very slow, and it took me a couple of hours.I mounted the device and used it for about five minutes. All the functions, mechanical and electrical, appeared to function correctly. I put the resistance control at the lowest setting, and proceeded at a very comfortable pace. At about 4 or 5 minutes the little computer screen went blank. I checked the batteries and they were good. The computer screen never showed anything again. I then contacted Vanswe Support by email.After a few back-and-forth emails describing my problem, Vanswe Support decided to ship me a new computer, at no cost to me. They did not want the failed one, even though I volunteered to ship it to them at my cost.Now it’s 4 days later and I just received the new little computer. All functions and modes are functioning properly. I was able to go for 30 minutes in my target heart rate range. Last time I did that was 30 years ago. It is obvious from the other reviews that this recumbent bike is a good value that has very few “problems”. To that, I would add that the “Customer Service” is top-of-the-line. EASY ASSEMBLY!!

Oh dear how I detest assembly of ANYTHING. Even so, I knew when I ordered this recumbent exercise bike that assembly was inevitable. Assembly is dreadsville for me and so for 3 weeks I just let it sit in the box.( As for my pressure washer I let sit in the box for over a year and a half before I assembled it.) (That one was missing the hardware kit.)... So I finally opened the exercise bike box and checked to make sure all the pieces were there and yes, all pieces were there. I began looking at the instructions. I didn't assemble it in one sitting, as I had plenty of curious cats trying to help and annoy me. Every single hole for screws matched up exactly. This seriously was the easiest assembly of anything I have put together that I can remember. The instructions were very understandable. NO FRUSTRATION. I did not question or second guess any of the steps. I am a 67 year old female 159 weight and 5'3" height. I very casually took my time on assembly of 2 hours; which actually I could have done it in less than an hour without cats or talking on the phone. The bike is quiet and easy to move..so far it is a good purchase.

First, I want to say that this is an excellent value for the money. It is not overly complicated to use and is almost completely silent. Assembly was mostly easy because all the parts were organized so well. This company does a fantastic job with parts, tools and assembly instructions.

Peddle straps are horrible,

Good machine for the price. However, the peddle straps are extremely hard to install. They need to come up with something a lot better.

This is a sturdy recumbent bike.Assembly: Took 2 hours or so and was definitely not easy for me. Depends on how comfortable you are with assembling things.Quality: This is a sturdy bike that does not move or shake when being used. The seat is quite comfortable, great for if you have injuries or if you are older or heavier. Display is basic and not the most intuitive but this did not bother me.Resistance: The resistance is not very high on this bike. Its great for low intensity cardio but not for hard core bikers or people who may be considering a Peloton.

Well Built!

Great exercise bike. Was easy to assemble, it's quiet with plenty of adjustments. The display is backlit which is nice since I do my exercises very early am. My only semi-negative is the seat is not that comfortable but otherwise a great exercise bike.

Quiet and Smooth

It took my husband about 1.5 hours to put together. He's very handy, so it might take longer for someone else. It is quiet and works well. The only issue is that the seat was extremely difficult to adjust. This was a problem since my husband and I both use it. We oiled it and now it moves easier, however, it does not lock in place. So far it hasn't been a problem because our weight keeps it where it needs to be. Overall, a very good recumbent bike!

Great Bike, just wish it had a backlight

love the bike, using it to make best use of time when watching tv, only problems I've had is not having a backlight on the display, and no power button to turn off the display. I'm often having to use a light pointing to the display to keep track of progress in the evenings, and after each use I pull the batteries out from the display as the batteries usually die within 2 weeks if not.

Assemble Not that difficult

Don't sign up for the assembly service! This is not that difficult to assemble. Instructions are very clear. Pay attention to the details of the drawings as well as the written words and you will be ok. The delivery service canceled their appointment an hour and a half before their arrival (6:30 AM !!!!!) after several emails confirming the time, date, and individual who was to do the work. This is just plain not acceptable.

Excellent Bike & Customer Service!

My physical therapist recommended a recumbent bike to help me with my knee pain. I bought this one a year ago and have been very happy with my purchase! It is very comfortable and I like the very readable digital LED monitor which also holds my tablet. Recently the monitor refused to work even after a battery change. I contacted Vanswe Customer Service by email to let them know of this situation. The next day they had a new monitor on its way to me at no charge!! WOW! I had the new monitor within the week, my husband installed it for me and it works perfectly. If only all customer service was this excellent, the world would be a bit happier place. Have no fear to order this reasonably priced and well made exercise bike. If you have any issues at all, this company will make it right.

Heavy Duty, Easy to Ride

Overall I think this is a good stationary cycle . It’s great for all ages . The seat is comfortable, and it’s practical to use while watching tv. The only thing I don’t like is the app for your phone it’s outdated. The app really has no uses . Overall it does what it’s supposed to , gives me a way to exercise with no impact.

I've had this bike for 3 years. No problems assembling and it is quiet. Keeping the seat locked was really only problem. But, this was after extensive daily use which will happen. No breaks, no falling parts so I'd say for the price...it's a great piece of gym equipment.

easy to operate

I like the size and style (especially the seat). Its almost compreble to the one I use in Physical Therapy. This was the reason for buying this item. I wanted to do most of my physical therapy at home and not worry about the cost. My husband uses this as well.

Solid and Silent

It is a two-person job for two elder people to carry this to the finished basement where we assembled, and where we use it, but the instructions are very clear, and the result is a solid recumbent exercise bike.I am 77 and wife 76, and we use this nearly every day. The display is convenient, and you can monitor many aspects of your exercise. For us, mainly, the goal is keeping in regular motion with daily non-impact exercise. We watch TV while we pedal. This unit is quite sturdy; I weigh 275 and it is comfortable for me. And it is so smooth and silent a mechanism. This is a good product.

Excellent product

I assembled this unit yesterday and got my first 30 minute workout on it this morning. Here are my impressions:

Assembly directions are detailed and very accurate. The only issues I had was with bracket for holding the seat unit (item #20) in place. I spent a good bit of time searching through all of the parts thinking either I had misplaced it or it was not included, only to find it bolted in place to the unit. Also had the same issues with the screws to hold the digital screen, already in the back of that piece. As one reviewer has pointed out, getting the two bolts that hold the seat unit in place is a bit of a PITA. I strongly recommend lying down next to the unit to get a full view of the work area. Don't try to do it blindly by feel. Also as noted elsewhere, the bracket attached with two bolts to the front of the unit is meant to serve as a handle to get the unit in place. It is then removed and not used in the actual assembly. They also provide a good bit of extra fastener hardware so you will have a bit of a pile of stuff left over when completed.

My first workout was very positive. I do a lot of road biking and have spent a lot of time in the off season on trainers and stationary bikes. Full disclosure, this unit is for my wife, but I expect to make regular use of it as well. This is my first experience with a recumbent. I found it to be very solid, smooth, and quiet. The tension range seems more than adequate for a good workout. I'm 5'11"/ 150 lbs. Being in a recumbent position will definitely take some getting used to but I expect it may offer less wear and tear on my aging hips.

Areas for improvement: I did connect with Kimomap without any issues. That seems to work pretty well but with a small delay in getting data from the bike to the kinomap display. So when you pick up the cadence, you won't see it reflected on the kinomap disply for 10 seconds or so. Kinomap does show cadence and watts. You get 2 weeks free then it is $12 per month. The manual shows that it can also connect with Zwift. The tray for holding an iPad, etc. would benefit from a wider rim at the bottom.

Also be aware that this unit is heavy. It is maneuverable but takes some effort to get the back end up to move it around. Not a complaint, just a fact.

All in all, highly recommended.

P.S. After using this a few times, I can agree with another reviewer that mentioned how stiff the seat is. I definitely recommend an additional seat cushion. Keep in mind that the on a recumbent, your butt is parked on the seat and carrying most of your weight 100% of the time. There is no getting out of the saddle to give your butt a break as there is on a conventional bike.

Just bought on 6-24-24

Brief description of me. I'm a man 6'1" tall and weight 345lbs. With the seat all the way back I fit perfectly on the seat. My leg has a slight bend at my knee when leg fully extended on the peddle, similar to riding a regular bicycle. The seat and back rest are comfortable. I'm not a very active person due to health problems, so the settings for resistance is perfect for me. If you are a athlete type person you may find that's it not challenging enough. Putting it together was easy with good direction. READ the direction completely. You will have a steel tube left over that was for shipping and they also have spare nuts and bolts. With my health limitations I was still able to put this together. So far I'm happy, it's strongly built a.nd very quite. I've read the 1 star comments and I'm not sure why. Anyway I'm going to use it for a month and comeback and update this comment. Hope this helps you . Here's a video of me on the machine.

Just what I Wanted

I am really enjoying this recumbent bike! It replaced an expensive spin bike I had. I’m 5’4” and this bike fits me perfectly, while the spin bike never did, it was too big. On this recumbent bike, I don’t need to move the seat back much at all, it can still go back a lot. Also, my husband uses it comfortably too, and he’s 6’1”. We both find it very comfortable. I did put a small pillow against the back of the seat for lumbar support, but I have an injury there, so many probably wouldn’t need the extra support there. The bike is silent, pedalling is super smooth, the resistance is fine (I just use L4 for 30+ mins). I do like the double handles- under the seat and by the display. It worked. The bars at the seat are tight now and do not have any movement, like you’d expect them to be. So both bars are perfectly tight. The little cup holder is perfect for my bike water bottle and stainless steel one. The display is a bit dim as noted by others, but I can still see it fine. This recumbent doesn’t really take up much more room than my spin bike did, which is rare for a recumbent bike. I am enjoying this so much more than the spin bike! This one is so much more comfortable and as a result, I use it a lot more. My iPad fits great in the holder, even with the case still on. I am very, very pleased with this exercise bike. After having two expensive spin bikes, that I barely used because they hurt so bad, this gives me a great workout while being comfortable on my back and seat.

This product surprised me. After looking at many different designs, ranging inside and price, I took a shot on this unit. It was on third 1/3 rd. The price of other big name brand products. Acting on the option to send back if I didn't like it, I moved ahead. I had it in a couple of days .

Excellent Exercise Bicycle

The setup was easy because my son-in-law put it together.. he did state that the instructions were easy to understand. The bike is very well built. it is sturdy and does not take up a lot of space. There are 5 modes you can operate in such as time, speed and etc. Tension can be increased to make you work harder.

The cost was very affordable. It is great exercise when the wind is blowing and snow is coming down.

I looked at many stationary recumbent bikes in multiple price ranges for my home gym. I had a left total hip replacement (THR) two months ago and needed the perfect bike for my home PT exercises and rehab. Let me say this bike is the perfect solution!_x000D_

It took me a little over an hour to put together. The instructions are easy to follow. The pedaling motion is quiet and smooth. Best of all, the counters for time and distance and everything else keep going if you reverse to pedal backward for a while and then again when you start pedaling forward. The display is simple and functional with a holder for a phone or tablet. There is a water bottle holder for a standard disposable plastic water bottle. The bike is light and easy to move on rollers. The footprint is small and it fits well in tight spaces. This is perfect for THR rehab. Buy it, you’ll be glad you did!

It came in good condition. It wasn't hard to assemble and I tried using it a couple of time. It didnt make alot of noise and the holder above the screen is very useful for putting a tablet to watch while exercising. The controls are simple and easy to understand.

If it Didn't Slide It'd be 5 stars!

Putting this together wasn't as hard as I thought it would be (I did it solo - 40 y/o woman in less than an hour). It is incredibly sturdy - I don't feel like I'm going to break it. I'm closer to the weight limit than I'd like to be, but there's no give in the seat or the machine itself. I feel safe when using the bike. It's comfortable, my wide rear fits on the seat without 'hanging over'. My only issue (and it could totally be my fault during the assembly) is that the seat slides more than I'd like it to. I have to physically hold myself back while pedaling. On the upside, it gives me a little more oomph in my exercise! It's light enough to slide around on my tiled floor without scratching or scuffing it. Overall, I'm thrilled with this purchase.

I have purchased two of these bikes for two different locations. The second one was somewhat disappointing due to a loud grinding noise in the pedal housing. After sending me a tool to fix it myself, I again expressed my disappointment. Customer service almost immediately contacted me and promised to send a replacement bike. No way did I believe it would happen. Then it arrived today. I am blown away! This company has got to be the best in customer service. I LOVE this bike, and I LOVE this company.

Good recumbent bike.

I like the bike overall, the seat is a little hard, it's better to use a cushion. It's easy to mount since the center bar is low to the ground. It's very quiet and works well.

Tip for assembling

It is much easier to put the bike together if you watch and pause as you put each section of the bike together then using the written instructions that come with it. Also you might need somebody that is strong because it is very hard to get the straps attached to the pedals.

Just what I needed. Affordable and small footprint

This is a great recumbent bike. Lots of resistance levels. the monitor is the only downfall, but it is not different from many others I've tried. I don't see how it can reset easily and the manual doesn't really say-- like a quick turn on and off. I cannot really tell how many calories, minutes I've used at one time. Have to pop out the batteries if needed.

App..im very annoyed

I love the bike only problem I have is that once it is found by Bluetooth and I press it.. thats all that happens..it never sync to my phone..?? I have uninstalled the app and re installed it numerous times...im so annoyed and upset..

took maybe 30 minutes to unpack and assemble. The only down side to assembly is the allen wrench screwdriver combo tool. just add a screwdriver and leave the allen wrench alone.

I recently got this bike and I really enjoy it but when my pedal fell off and the arm was stripped they go back to my email regarding this matter extremely fast and ships out parts fast in a fast timely matter. It was easy to contact them and receive immediate responses.

Easy to assemble

I hate assembling mechanical things but this was so well laid out, it was a breeze! I am not a strong individual but they made it easy to manage. Love how it fits in small place! Only negative is the bluetooth doesnt really work and instructions are inadequate for that, not to mention cant switch to English, feet or pounds rather Asian, metric, and kilograms.

I am really happy with the bike especially for the price. It was really easy to put together and took me less than 20 minutes to do by myself. Everything was labeled nicely and it included the tools need to put it together. I have put 80 plus miles on it so far and it works great. I am 6 feet tall and don't feel cramped on it at all. I have size 14 feet and they fit on the pedals great. Only complaint is that the seat could use a little more padding.

Seems to be good, but could be better

The bike was easy to assemble. Illustrations were clear. Provided tools worked.The clearance of the pedals is a problem. They are too close to the floor and heels of feet hit the floor when not being very careful. Had to place four layers of cardboard under front leg to make it less often that heels hit floor.The seat "locking" does not hold seat in place when even small amounts of pressure applied to back of seat. It will slip forward or back easily.But considering the price, it is worth the cost.

Received my bike yesterday and it was really easy to put together it took me maybe 30 minutes if that. As of now I've only used it twice but so far so good. Just starting out on my weight loss journey I needed something for home and this was perfect starting point for me I love it.

Great buy

I got this for my mother who is short like myself, and we can both use it even at 5'. I set it up fairly quickly with out any issues! It is quiet and easy to use and comfortable. I have only two tiny complaints, screws and washers were super oily, and i wish the seat would not slide back and forth so much.

I recently started Weight Watchers and knew I wanted a recumbent bike. This was the one I wanted because it had a higher weight limit, a bigger seat and the reviews were good. I have knee issues and this bike is perfect for that.

Sets a little lower than I expected

So far , so good. I wanted this so that my husband and I could get more exercise during the bad weather. It has helped. It is easy to move from place to place, and very stable. It is very quiet. I have a little trouble with the settings for mileage, speed, etc. but all in all, we are pleased.

Best bike for the money

This is the third bike I've had and this one is definitely the best and we'll built. The parts I like best are 1) the place to rest my phone above display and 2) the seat adjustment. The only con is that the resistance at the highest level should be more difficult. However, the highest setting is still good enough for me at my peak and more than enough for my wife.

Nice Bike And Sturdy!! Assembly wasnt bad with instructions and a youtube video. Handle bars gave me a time. Then my slow self realized I had to grip the washers with pliers then tighten the allen screw????That part took me 30 mins alone to figure that out cause I was like why its not tight and I was about to cry. But God is good and its up Ill have my first ride today. The computer kinda cheap on the bike I can tell it wont last but we shall see...Overrall good product.

lightweight, easy to move, small footprint. I prefer the battery-operated display to a plug-in, so that is a plus for me.

Reasonably quiet and seems to be holding up well after 7 weeks of use.

Resistance is adequate. The bike was very easy to put together; pretty much everything that could be pre-assembled came that way. It was easier to use my own tools than those provided.

The seat adjustment mechanism is great. I like the "infinite" option rather than predetermined settings. You can also adjust "on the fly."

Cons:

Seat padding is inadequate. I had to add an extra pad. Works fine with that.

Advertising that this would work for someone 6’3” is madness. I am 5’10” on a good day with a 30” inseam and I have to position the seat all the way at the back to get proper leg extension. This is not a problem for me, but the description should change.

Advertising 16 levels of resistance is overselling it. The resistance isn’t noticable until around level 7, and the max level is mid-range level on other bikes I have been on. It is adequate, but realistically it should advertise maybe 8 levels of resistance.

I would prefer 8” pedal arms to the 5” ones that come on the bike, but acknowledge that would change some of the dimensions of the bike. I couldn’t find this measurement anywhere beforehand. It should be in the description somewhere.

Overall the bike is at a reasonable pricepoint and is a decent entry-level option. If you are over 220 lbs you may want to choose something sturdier.

Very nice recumbent bike

I really like this recumbent bike. After reading many reviews before purchase, I knew that it would take 2 people to assemble and approximately the length of time it would take to put it together (it took us 1.5 hrs). AND to leave the wires attached with the rubber bands until you snap the pieces together! The absolute best thing about the parts is that they were wonderfully clearly laid out on a cardboard piece, over their respective diagrams and names of the parts and then completely covered in clear shrink wrap! Fantastic! The few parts that were not on the card were set in place from the factory. Directions were very good too. As others have stated this bike is a bit lower to the ground than my old recumbent but that being said I can still easily use it with my bad knee and back. It also has nice smooth motion with the pedals. The computer dock holds my 10" Kindle very well and I have no problems reading or watching a movie. The seat is ok for my 209lb rear but after an hour on it I am seriously considering a larger, thicker pad to cover it. Overall I am very happy with this bike and recommend it to everyone!

Good for elderly or disabled people

I like the place to put a tablet. Just as a side note for the manufacturer if you can find a way to add a USB power port near the tablet spot, that would make it next level. I wouldn’t mind tethering my bike to a power outlet to get a USB power outlet. Make it optional. So if you want it, put it by an outlet. If not make sure your device is charged. That being said, the other con is the resistance doesn’t give a lot of resistance at its highest level. I’m ok with that, I just pedal a little longer, but some people might want to know. The bike is very sturdy, the straps on the pedals are a nice touch, my dad is handicapped and needs a way to keep his feet on the pedals, and I think this will work. I may have to modify the pedals with a heel cup, but it will still work. Over all it was easy to assemble and works well. Only 4 stars because of the resistance wheel, but worth the price by far.

Good bike with some shortcomings.

Overall this bike is solid and seems to be a good value. However, there are three things I don't like about it. First, the monitor does not have a back light, making it very difficult to read in lower light situations. Second, the seat needs more padding especially in the rear where it compresses substantially on an overlapping seam, creating irritation. The manufacturer could fix these problems easily and should do so. My final issue is with the seat adjustment design. The seat slides on a bar welded to the main frame which appears quite solid. Unfortunately, there is side to side play within the under-seat sliding/locking mechanism even when the seat is tightly locked down. This wiggle results in a mild thumping sound as you pedal and the seat shifts. It may be that a user significantly lighter than myself would not produce such movement but my weight is nowhere near the bike rating of 380#. I have been able to quiet it a little by the use of layered duct tape within the sliding tube to tighten the fit. Hopefully it's a permanent fix.

I recommend it

After a few months of comparing recumbent bikes, I purchased this bike in February 2020. My 18 yr old grandson put it together with very little help from me in about 45 minutes. Loved the bike! It is very sturdy and quite. I've had a total hip replacement and have arthritis in both knees but I put my paperwhite reader on the stand and have an enjoyable 30-40 min of exercise 5 days a week. I was pre-diabetic with an A1C of 6.0 before I started using the bike. 3 months after using the bike my A1C had dropped to 5.3 which is well within the normal range. My physician and myself were thrilled. I haven't lost weight yet but being a retired nurse I know I'm healthier. Then in May the bike started making a knocking/thumping noise with each rotation of the pedals. I emailed their customer support team and attached a short video of the bike and noise. They couldn't have been better! They sent me a new replacement bike at no cost to me. Customer service like that is rare. I'm very glad I purchased this bike and recommend it and this company.

Exactly what I was looking for

So far I think this is a great bike for the money. Very straightforward to assemble and looks great. I was concerned that it might be flimsy at the price, but I am just over 200 lbs and it is very sturdy and quiet when I use it. Seat adjustment is easy which is important since my wife and I both use the bike and she is 6 inches shorter than me. One concern would be if you are much over 6 feet this bike might not work for you. I am 5' 11" and have the seat all the way back and am very comfortable. So if you are much taller than that it might be a problem, depending on your leg length. Also wish the display was backlit or used another technology. The rook we have the bike in is not well let, and it can be a challenge to read the display. Have not had it very long so cannot speak to durability yet, but so far I am impressed and happy with it.

Pretty good bike, especially for the price

So far, I have been pleased with this purchase. Assembly took about an hour and I was able to do the whole thing myself without too much trouble or skill. I'm a petite woman with back issues (hence a recumbent bike) and minimal spatial reasoning ability, despite years of assembling these kinds of things.The instructions are reasonably good. There's a whole lot more packaging than you want to have to throw away.The seat is a little wobbly, but not enough to be a functional issue. It's functional without a lot of extra doodads to deal with. It has a relatively small footprint for a recumbent bike. It's also better looking than most inexpensive exercise equipment. It's easy to move around and it is quiet. The position is adjustable forward enough for a short person; I don't know how it would work for a tall person.Overall - so far - a good choice. Fulfills its utilitarian purpose and seems to be solid enough.

Easy to assemble, easy to use

I have been using this exercise bike for the last two months and a quite satisfied with it. It was easy to assemble [2 hours], easy to use, seat is well padded and comfortable and feel rugged. I am 6'2" tall and I do feel a little cramped when using it [with the seat in the rearmost position] but not so much as to be uncomfortable. The bike is advertises as having a pulse monitor but there were no instructions on how it works. The monitor that comes with the bike has a small LCD readout that gives a readout for duration of your workout and other functions but is a pain for me to set [at 80 years old I find these gadgets frustrating]. I use me Iphone to time my workouts. Hope it holds up.Tom [Salisbury, MD]

It’s a good bike with a resolvable seat issue.

My handyman assembled this bike for me and he said it was relatively easy to assemble. The one issue we had was with the seat. It would not stay in place as the brake came loose. VANSWE customer service was very helpful. The problem was the handle for the brake needed to be pushed down with greater force than we expected. Now the seat stays in place. I do need to continue use to push down on the brake handle periodically to keep it from coming loose. It's not a big deal but it can be a bit annoying at times. Also, the seat was not particularly comfortable. I purchased an extra padded seat which works perfectly. I’ve had the bike for a few weeks and I really like it now that the seat issue has been resolved. The bike is amazingly lightweight which is helpful as I use it in front of my den closet. I weigh about 275 pounds and the bike can handle my weight.

Works fine. Great customer service

Husband put bike together and there were a lot of screws that were stripped, so it was a pain to put together. In doing so he broke a plug for the computer so the computer did not work. We contacted the company and explained what happened and they got back to us right away and sent out a new computer and we received it within a day. We did purchase the warranty so don't know if that is why they did not charge us or not, but it was my husbands fault and they still did not charge us.I will say the customer service was fantastic!!Bike works just like it should, the only minor thing is on the timer count down when it gets to zero it does not beep it just starts counting up.

Great for Larger folks - Sturdy

After much research I purchased this Recumbent Bike. I'm 5'7" and 320 and was concerned that most bikes only support 300lbs. I went with this as it supports 380lb. It is very solid and sturdy I feel very stable on this bike. It was easy to put together took us about 1 hr together, the instructions were very easy to read and the parts and nuts/bolts were labeled well. I would def recommend this, the value is awesome. The Screen is basic but gives all the info I need. I also like it has room for my book or tablet so I can read while pedaling. I tried a friends Schwinn that she paid over $700 for and I'm just as impressed with this bike.

Decent piece of equipment; great price--not as much resistance as I would like.

We had another recumbent bike--fairly high end and nice to use. A power surge during a Nor'easter a couple of weeks ago fried the power console and the customer service trying to figure out what to do was very poor. The cost of replacing the console was $80 more than what the Vanswe Recumbent Exercise Bike cost and we weren't sure if anything else other than the console was involved, so we decided to try this product. It is sturdy and takes up less room; the seat is comfortable and assembly was not difficult. I liked the idea of manual control of the resistance, but am a little disappointed that the highest tension is not that difficult. Not sure if there might be a way to adjust it to get more resistance. .

Over All Excellent

The bike arrived before the designated date which was nice. It was very well packaged and quite easy to assemble. It is comfortable and I have no problem with the seat which is amply padded. My one and big complaint is about the console. It is wildly inaccurate when it comes to BPM heart rate. When my Apple watch indicates a BPM of 83 the module fluctuates wild ranging from 70 to 80 to 115 and 130 all within a few seconds and continues to do this. Thus, it is useless. Mileage is suspect also. Also, the display is very dim and can't be read in low light. This is too bad because otherwise it is a perfect bike. I do like it and would recommend it to others with the caveat that the display is almost useless.

A good bike for limited spaces.

This bike fulfilled my needs. I wanted a recumbent bike that would help support my back and fit in a small space. It was easy enough to assemble with only a problem connecting the cables, they stuck at first and were difficult to pull out. But after first pushing them in then pulling out they connected. Still some question about the monitor. The customer service has been very helpful. I only wish there were notches for spacing the leg space but a hard push on the lever is working. Like having a platform for my book or tablet. Overall a good little bike that works for me and is reasonably priced.

great Bike

Much easier to assemble than anything similar I have put together. A majority of the bolts, screws, etc. were loosely installed in each piece so they just required removing and reinstalling as each piece was installed rather than searching through a bag of loose parts. It is sturdy enough to survive the package being backed over after the carrier left it in front of the garage door and my daughter backed over it on her way to work that night. I had to straighten a couple brackets and it does rock a little on the floor, but nothing to worry about.It's one short coming is the drag is fairly light. If you want a hard workout this is not for you. If you want a light to moderate workout or are using it for rehab it is great!!

Excellent product and Service

I purchased this to replace my old treadmill, as the mill hurt my back. This product let me get the exercise i need without back strain. After using the bike for a couple of days the heart rate sensor quit working. Contacting Vanswe support the rep. told me to check the connectors and sent me pictures where they were. Easy fix thanks to support. Also i was missing the stirrups on my machine, and two days later new pedals arrived with stirrups attached.The only drawback with the Vanswe, it the display is not back lit. no problem as long as the room has good lighting.All, in all, an excellent value. The surprise was the excellent support delivered.Jim

Basic, but solid, comfortable, and works well.

Bought this model because of its higher weight limit and wider seat. Had it since Christmas. Use it daily. The bike only works the legs but it works great as part of an overall routine. It is comfortable and the seating position is easy to adjust. The digital display is basic and I don’t trust the heart monitor, but it holds my phone perfectly. The construction seems solid but the bike is still light enough to move easily. Assembly was straight forward.

Very Decent Bike!

A decent, inexpensive bike. It is sturdy, I am 5'11" 200+. I got it due to the pandemic, being indoors, help with staying physically active and to lose weight. It is a little noisy when you pedal. Also the seat does not lock in place so you have to use your body weight to keep the seat from sliding forward. Also, the screen requires batteries and does not switch on its own. You have to go to each category manually. I just keep it on calories! All in all, so far it is a pretty good bike.

Good Choice

I have had my bike now for several months. As far as a strong opportunity to ride it is a comfortable seat and mechanically smooth. The readout screen is fine but I don't think it has the ability to have different modes of workout like it presents. The batteries expire in the bike rather quickly. I have had the bike now for several months and have changed the batteries three times. This bike is a great choice if you like to read a book while you ride.

Fantastic!

This recumbent exercise bike is perfect for me. I'm a 58 year old 6'1" tall woman with 38" long legs. I'm going to have a knee replacement in 3 months and I bought it because I need to get in shape PRIOR, but everything else hurts (parts of my femur literally disintegrated) so I can't walk well and am in near constant pain. I can't even swim - it feels like my right leg is going to fall off.

I can ride this bike without pain!

I would HIGHLY recommend this recumbent bike. It even has a pass through so that I don't have to step OVER the middle to sit down. This is great now and will be critical for safety after the knee replacement.

The seat is wide and gives great back support. There's a heart rate monitor on the lower handle bars (on either side of the seat) that makes it handy to swiftly know if I'm in the zone.

The monitor can stay in one place and be manually advanced, or one can put it on a skip mode so it cycles through each of the stats as one is pedaling.

The bike is also VERY stable. There are two "stand up" handles that are simply for help standing and getting off the bike after a workout. They add safety and stability for me.

I discovered that the calorie monitor resets after burning 1,000 calories. I've gotta admit - that was a proud moment.

Had everything I wanted

Pros:

1) big enough for my 6 ft 250 lb stocky frame

2) enough resistance so I can break a sweat if needed

3) nice cup holder for beverage of choice

4) ledge on odometer holds a tablet like an Amazon fire with case very easily so I can watch tv/movies/YouTube

5) foot petals are comfy and big so can easily bike barefoot if I want

6) no need to plug this in or turn it on, just some batteries and start pedalling

7) compact and easy to move around the apartment if needed

Cons:

1) chair is just a tiny bit wobbly but still stays in place

2) the reset button doesn't work but I think its because I messed up the assembly somehow but can't be bothered to fix it right now

3) assembly took me several weeks of starting, getting confused and frustrated, looking up tutorials, then giving up and coming back to it later. Glad I stuck with it!

Overall:

If you can get over the confusing assembly then its worth the price to burn a ton more calories with a very comfy and convenient seated bike

Unfortunately upon initial use I discovered that there was a defect in the tension feature. I phoned customer service on a Friday evening and received a response the next morning. After a few hours The seller informed me that they were voluntarily going to ship a new bike as a replacement. The replacement was received within five days.

Display Panel Dead

I just purchased this bike, and it worked well for about two weeks. Then the display panel stopped working.

I replaced the batteries three times, and even re-connected the cables to the unit itself, still nothing.

I'd like to get a new panel, if it will work.

It’s been two months since I had spine surgery - a three level laminectomy from L2-3, L3-4 and L 4-5 as a result of severe and progressive Spinal Stenosis. With transport wheels / Bluetooth connectivity for Seniors workout and most important for me very “affordable”.I ordered it through Amazon on March 12 with expected delivery March 25. Long wait but I wanted it so I accepted the wait. To my total surprise the bike was delivered on March 18. How it happened I didn’t care. The fact is that it was delivered way ahead of time. I was really happy for that.Now the hard part - anxiety was setting in because I had to assemble it and I hate reading instructions. I left it in the box unopened for two days. Finally I opened the box and started removing all parts from the box. Every part was so perfectly put in the box that I told my wife that no human could have everything in the box so tightly - it had to be a machine.After I removed all parts from the box and lay them down on the floor I realized how neat everything was. The hardware was neatly marked and packaged. The instructions were So Perfect that I was amazed at how simple it was to assemble the bike. I was really exited about how easy to read simple the instructions were. Everything matched perfectly. Even my wife made the comment that she had never seeing better down to the letter instructions. Love this machine

I was skeptical about getting this machine had it in my cart for sometime I finally purchased it and I couldn’t be happier. I have had some issues in the past with Amazon and packaging and damage items. I am very fortunate. This item arrived perfect. Well packaged there were no issues or damage at all. My husband put it together last night didn’t take very long maybe 20 minutes use today for the first time. Quite soft on joints. I was using a stepper but due to knee pain after every use had to stop. I am a fit 38 yr old female. Will be using 4-5 per week to keel in shape. Also my husband was diagnosed with RA and Lupus a year ago and does a physical job. His knees and ankles are always hurting. His rheumatologist suggested some yoga since I know he probably won’t do the stretches. I thought this may give him a little incentive and it is very easy on the joints because you can control the resistance. I first started on level seven was very resistant so I lowered to 4 Worked my way up to seven I would highly recommend this bike, I do believe all the other reviews that are negative. The people may have just received a lemon machine. Yes, there is a little noise, but there is a motor so it is expected. That’s what earphones are for purchase this you will not regret.

LOVING THIS BIKE!!

Looking for a way to get some much needed added exercise and this bike is great! It was the only one we could see buying due to size and weight. While we like the display for miles, calories, speed, etc., that was not our primary reason for purchasing this. We needed a bike that was easy to assemble, use and move, when necessary. So far, this one is perfect! Plus, we got a great deal here at Amazon--it was a flash sale item. Cannot beat the bike at the price!

This bike is a fitness & Mobility life saver!

I have advanced RA and have not been able to use my stationary bike for over a year which has been extremely detrimental to my mobility and health. I could not lift my legs up to get on. So I went shopping for a bike that was lower and out of all the choices here on Amazon I liked the looks and description of this one best. It arrived within two days of ordering in a surprisingly small box, so I was concerned about having an IKEA moment - but it was super easy to assemble and is VERY stable. I use it five days a week and I am proud to say I can lift my feet into the stirrups myself after two weeks of regular use - I am BACK BABY!

Graet Bike - Responsive Company

At my wife's urging I didn't get a Peloton, an Echelon, a Bowfles or a Nordic Track. As she pointed out, they would all be expensive dry cleaning racks when I stopped using it. Instead I went to Amazon and looked for a reasonably priced clothes rack that could double as an exercise bike :). I picked the Vanswe Recumbent Exercise Bike. The price was in the low hundreds, and the reviews were good. I got the bike much faster than I thought, and apparently assembly was very easy, (I used Amazon's assembly service in case something went wrong). To my amazement bikes have changed a lot since I had my Tuntori. The Vanswe was easy to use, comfortable to sit on and had a nice shelf ABOVE the computer. So when you want to read a book or take courses on your iPad, it doesn't block the computer readout of distance, speed, heart rate etc. So all in all a great bike for the money.The next thing that happened with the bike company was went Ii went to register my bike for warranty coverage. The company promised a variety of wralout aids like a workout mat or resistance bands etc. When I tried to order my choice of freebie, each one showed "unavailable". I dropped an email to customer service and in less than 24 hours I got an apology and a request to pick any extra gift I chose. I asked for a workout mat and it was delivered within a week. That is good customer service, and today I received a follow up voicemail to see if I got the mat, and was I happy. That's great customer service.So all in all, I'm very happy with my purchase. If you're in the market for an exercise bike, and don't care what label your friends happen to see in your house, but this one!

Nice recumbent bike for the money

I have no complaints so far. Thankfully, I had my brother to put it together for me. It took him about an hour to put it together. It looks exactly like the picture. I have been enjoying it! The seat is very comfortable but I ordered a cover (from Amazon) to put over it. I ordered a mat (also from Amazon) to put bike on and it’s the perfect length. The bike seems to be very sturdy and it doesn’t take up a lot of space which is a plus! A nice bike for a beginner.

Honestly, I watched another man’s video on Amazon on the specific bike,who explained it perfectly to me. Because manual extractions are overwhelming. The quality of the bike is wonderful and I’m super happy I recommend to anybody and price and I feel safe.

Great customer service

Received in a timely manner. Nice small foot print. Comfortable seat but did put a seat pillow on it to make it even more so. Looks well built. Not to hard to assemble with a excellent video instructions. Noticed that there was a clunking sound occurring not very loud but noticeable when peddling was not hindering the operation. Contacted company through Amazon to mention issue. This company has been the best one I have ever had to deal with regarding service. Got back to me the next day and sent me tools required to attempt to service it that were needed that arrived quickly. Seems to be a nice piece of equipment for a good price. Customer service makes this product shine. They even sent me a new monitor after mentioning I could not reset the time. Hopefully it lasts.

Sturdy and well made

It is sturdy and well made - at least upon assembly. That's important as I freely admit to being a fatty. I wanted something that would last and I think this will. Everything was in the box and well and tightly packed. Although there were dings on the box, nothing was damaged. It took about an hour to assemble using just the tools included. Everything went together fairly smoothly and the hardware appears to be high quality. The instructions are clear enough and the hardware is numbered on the blister pack containing it. The electronics work although I haven't tried the bluetooth function yet. The resistance at 15 was hard enough to make my legs ache after the first mile (or is it kilometer - it doesn't say) but I am terribly out of shape. The seat moves easily and locks securely. Overall, on first acquaintance I'm more than pleased.There was a problem at delivery. Fedex sent me an email thru Amazon saying that it was delivered and left at the front door porch but nothing was there. I contacted the the seller who responded within an hour or two asking me to contact Fedex explaining that this was a Fedex rule. I called Fedex and gave a report. They said they would investigate and contact me back. The next afternoon I found the bike on my porch but haven't heard anything from Fedex.

This is the Recumbent Exercise Bike to buy!

Before purchasing it, I thoroughly researched every recumbent exercise bike available (Amazon & otherwise) for about a month. I read literally hundreds of reviews, and made a chart for myself comparing 12 of the best-reviewed bikes ... price, weight, dimensions, maximum user weight, ease of assembly, display options, customer service reviews, etc. Based on my research I decided that the Vanswe fit my needs the best. Delivery was very prompt (less than a week), the packaging was amazing, nothing was missing or damaged, the printed assembly directions combined with Atlas Wang's video made assembly a breeze, and I am in my 70's without the greatest flexibility and definitely NOT mechanically inclined. (It took me about 2 hours from opening the box to sitting down and riding.) This exercise bike exceeded my expectations in every way. It is relatively small, light-weight, and very easy to move around, but it is also solid and sturdy. Everything works perfectly including the LCD screen, the pulse monitor, the adjustable seat and the magnetic resistance levels. If you need a good, basic recumbent exercise bike in this price range (under $300), I don't think you could find a better one than the Vanswe. It "does the job" in every way.

This little thing is all I hoped. Sturdy, comfortable and takes so little room. I live in a condo. No extra space, if you know what I mean. I would recommend this bike to everyone even if you have lots of room you won’t be sorry. ♥️

I just put this together today, so all I can comment on is the ease with which I put it together. I'm almost 67, female, 5'9, and in decent shape. Being in shape means I could handle the roughly 70 pound box, but not without a dolly to get it from my front porch to my downstairs.

The instructions are well-written, the bolts, nuts and so on are super well-packaged and well-labeled. I put it together by myself in just over an hour. But I've put lots of things together, so I'm fairly experienced.

For those of you who are not, go slowly, and don't tighten anything up super tight until you're sure you've got it on correctly. I put the front stabilizer bar on upside down the first time, so the wheels were pointed up in the air, rendering them useless for moving the bike. I hadn't noticed the arrow sticker (see pics) but it was a super easy fix since I hadn't totally tightened it up.

Be aware that some of the bolts are already attached to various peices of the equipment, not all of them are on the card that holds most of them.

I love the wide seat, and the back rest is also comfy. The seat position is adjustable forward and backward, so I could easily set it to fit me: 5'9 with very long legs. I imagine it would adjust fine for folks shorter and taller than me.

Bang for Buck (Also purchased a Backup)

66 yo senior male. Weighed 252 on March 31st, when I got back into my routine. 6' tall. By the 15th, I realized I returned to cycling (stationary cyclist for 35 yrs) too soon after surgery. Feeling good and not wanting to stop, I continued on the elliptical while I shopped for a recumbent. Settled on this one and rec'd it on May 13 or so. One Full Month in, June 14th, I've used it daily for 68 minutes minimum, 90 min max each session. I'm down to 228, feeling really good and Ecstatic that I purchased this sturdy, quiet, easy to assemble recumbent. Pretty easy for a big guy to move around, might be a bit heavy for some women. I made it a bit more comfortable by getting a memory foam cushion. For seniors or Anyone just wanting to get the blood moving, you can't beat this deal. I got it for 219$ on a flash deal.

2nd Full Month report card. 30 more days, 68 min per session. My normal 66 yo numbers are: 68 min, 600 cal burned. Right at 16.5 miles. I think I've only missed a day or two over the 30 day period.

As a long time buyer of home exercise equipment that is easy on the pocket, I'm still holding this piece in high regard.

Oh, since March 31st, I'm down 30 lbs which is a solid 2 lb per week, slow and steady. Tinkered with diet, mostly eating one ingredient items, I'm unable to walk more than 100 yards. Along with Tiffany Blair's toning and muscle building tubes on youtube, I'm completely done with XXL shirts, and with the crunches she shows you how to do, I've moved 4 holes on the belt. My end date to stop and take a look at myself, May 14th, 2025. Buy, don't hesitate. Before this recumbent, I had been a stationary cyclist for about 40 years. I love this thing. Easy on the backside also.

3 Full Month Report Card. Daily use, 68 minutes, another great 30 days. No problems whatsoever! Took only 2 days off, so it was a full month of good cycling.

3.5 month mark. All Good. Decided I like this recumbent so much, I bought a backup in the event my no. 1 encounters a problem. It's simply a safety net because there's nothing as awful as having to take time off while waiting for a replacement. Worse yet, loving a make and model and coming back to buy another and seeing that model is discontinued. 3.5 months, almost every day, 68 minutes at least. No problems.

4 Full Months Report Card. 68 minutes every day, only missing 6 days in last 4 months. Only trivial problems with this one, so I bought a backup just in case. Little baby bird like tweets from pedal area, solved with wd40. Trivial. The odometer on my no. 1 has a mind of its own. NP for me, but I know some folks like to complain about every little thing. Coupled with diet and core/toning stuff, I'm down 40 lbs and 5" off waist since commencing on March 31st. Never thought I'd enjoy any exercise as much as cycling, but I've grown to truly love this recumbent. Do know, I sit it in front of table with computer, I enjoy my coffee, and i get aerobic with flip flops on. Getting fit doesn't get easier. BTW, my A1C is down from 8.0 in late March, to 5.8 in Sept. My numbers, not looking to set records, 68 minutes, 600 cal burned every day.

This bike is AWESOME!

Not only was this bike super easy to put together. It looks great and has a fairly smallish footprint. Tucks into a corner of my room. The digital display is great and I know exactly how long I’ve been riding, how many calories have been burned, my pulse, etc. speeds are perfect and you can change from low to high very easily.

The only downside in my opinion is although not difficult, it takes a second to figure the seat movement.

Nice Bike And Sturdy!! Assembly wasnt bad with instructions and a youtube video. Handle bars gave me a time. Then my slow self realized I had to grip the washers with pliers then tighten the allen screw🥴🥴That part took me 30 mins alone to figure that out cause I was like why its not tight and I was about to cry. But God is good and its up Ill have my first ride today. The computer kinda cheap on the bike I can tell it wont last but we shall see...Overrall good product.

I have severe knee arthritis, and I want to get my BMI down before I get the replacement surgery. I walk about 20 minutes a day - but I have to go slow and be careful, and I often have to ice my knee for a while afterwards. I need to do more than that to make a dent in my weight loss goals.

I’ve tried recumbent bikes before at the gym, but I couldn’t get them to fit, and it was uncomfortable. I bought a Marcy recumbent bike a few years ago, but I junked it because it was wobbly, the seat and back were terribly uncomfortable, and I just couldn’t make myself use it.

This Vanswee recumbent bike is the answer to my prayers! It’s solid, VERY comfortable, quiet, and I think it’s beautiful!

My nephew put it together in about an hour (I paid him with a loaf of homemade bread) and I used it right away. I have really short legs, but scooting the seat up all the way fits perfectly.

It’s so quiet and smooth to ride that my dog lies down right next to it when I’m riding. I have to work to get my heart rate up to 85% of max, but 20 minutes at even 75% makes me feel energized.

So now I’m walking 20 minutes, riding 20 minutes, and doing 15-20 minutes of strength training with TRX straps and light dumbbells. The Vanswee is such a joy to use, it’s going to be a great anchor for rebuilding my exercise habit. Seriously, I can be watching tv and I look over at it and I want to get on and go!

It is perfect in my opinion.

Could not be happier with this recumbent bike. Firstly, it cost roughly 10-20% of a Peleton and the only significant difference is the Peleton’s built in TV screen, which is generally in a workout room anyway where a TV can be found. And I don’t even think Peleton offers recumbent version. Second, Vanswe is excellent in every way, even after working on it daily for more than a month. Cons: None, and I usually am fairly critical. Pros: 1) assembly was as straightforward as advertised. The instructions are understandable, the illustrations were precise, all the parts fit just right, and even a couple fasteners of each type were included just in case. One part was unused at the end by design, apparently required for security of the product during shipment. 2) it functions exactly as expected. Quiet, smooth, easy to control speed vs resistance. 3) overall quality is amazingly good for the price (or at any price, actually). It is sturdy, solid and attractive. Dollar for dollar I have rarely seen a better product. It exceeds all of my expectations. Wish all the products found online at Amazon or elsewhere were this good.

Good entry level bike. Seat needs more cusioning.

I bought this make and model of exercise bike because it isn't a 'smart' bike. You don't need WiFi or a subscription program to use it. It doesn't even need a wall outlet. The only powered thing on the bike is a small electronic monitor, which requires two AAA batteries. It has a very simple interface. Putting it together is mostly uncomplicated. There is a lot of tape holding the packing materials together, so keep a box cutter handy. It's also heavy to slide out of the box. I ended up cutting the whole side of the box open to slide it out upright. It comes with all the tools you need to put it together.

When assembling the bike, my biggest challenge was putting the seat mount onto the base of the bike. The instruction manual indicates the seat saddle should be fixed to the seat mount before you install the mount onto the bike base. I found this almost impossible to do with the seat installed. I could not get the two bolts all the way through the frame straight. I tried doing this while holding the frame at an angle to see/feel what I was doing. I also tried it while lying on the floor. I eventually had to take the screws back out of the seat saddle and remove it from the seat mount to get the bolts all the way through the frame and nested correctly. You can only feed them through in one direction. One side of the frame rail has squared holes, while the other side is rounded. It is important to feed the bolts through from the squared side. The rounded side is for the nylock nuts to lock down on. Except for that hiccup, the rest of the setup made sense. If you get confused by the instructions, there is also an instructional video you can find on YouTube which shows the bike being put together. You can find it by searching, "Nice Day Recumbent Bike Installation." You'll see what I mean about the seat mount, though. It's easier to put it on the base if you leave the seat off until after the seat mount is attached the the base of the bike.

The handle bar mounted under the electronic monitor is firmly fixed to its mount when the bike is assembled. The seat position is easily adjusted to the distance you need from the pedals for healthy body mechanics. You can't adjust the angle of the seat back. The bike is very quiet in use. It's easy to watch TV or listen to your phone or tablet while riding. My only complaint is that this saddle is like sitting on a high school bleacher. It needs more padding. You can find padded cushions for this type of saddle on Amazon. I'm going to try a silicone gel cushion with mine.

Works Nicely

This is for my senior dad. It was similar to what he used at cardiac rehab and they suggested he get one for home. He uses it a lot and really likes it. We assembled it for him — took 2 people about 3 hours. It wasn’t too difficult to assemble (although one piece wasn’t labeled correctly if I recall) but I guess we figured it out since he’s been using the bike for a few months now. It looks nice, it’s sturdy and it works. It rides smoothly and it’s quiet. I’d recommend it if you’re in the market, no regrets at all.

This is a good quality piece of exercise equipment, this bike is well made and sturdy. The bike does require assembly, the directions were easy to follow. The bike is quite when in use, easy to adjust the seat. The exercise bike doesn’t take up much space, and it’s easy to scoot it over if I need to make space.

Packaging is always a precursor to what you will experience when building purchased product. The company absolutely got this one right! Everything from the price, packaging, set up and use of product was nothing short of excellent! Instructions were so precise, no way anyone could screw up assembly. No missing parts, all required tools were present, bike looks exactly like advertised…company even included a water bottle holder. Impressed with EVERYTHiNG. Rode 5 miles first time on bike and did not want to stop. Tush feels comfortable on bike seat, bike is easy on my arthritis knees…I can go on and on. The point…get it. Easy to Assemble Comfortable, Quiet and High Quality Bike!

We have ordered several hundred items from Amazon and this bike may be best item. We purchased the RB405 in black with yellow accents. After opening the box I noticed it was packaged extremely well and very efficiently. I was initially somewhat apprehensive about assembly considering all the parts. However, the directions were excellent and Vanswe put all the bolts in the holes except for four in the seat and for the backrest. This made assembly rather simple and quick. Very impressed with the quality of materials during assembly. Our model had the 3.5 inch better seat and it is very comfortable. It takes up little space and the seat is lower to the floor than I anticipated which makes it very stable. It was so quiet you can hardly hear it. Save time by using a hex head screwdriver rather than an allen wrench. Overall great product!

Good value for price

Purchased this bike to continue my knee rehab after surgery because the PT facilities and gyms are locked down due to coronavirus. Easy to assemble. About as sturdy as expected for the price. Only complaints are the way the pedal straps attach causes them to disconnect easily, and the battery supply for the monitor is significantly undersized. Two small batteries supplied have now been replaced twice within four days of use. Unit needs to be upgraded to a 9-volt supply. Overall good value for the price.

Screen is very faded

I love this bike but the ONLY issue I have with this bike is the screen is very faded. I cannot read what mileage I'm doing. Other than that, its a good bike.UPDATE: I changed the battery in the computer pad part and that fixed the faded look of the screen. My advise is to not use the battery that comes with the bike and put in another battery. The battery that came with the bike did not last long at all.

Good buy

We have not had the bike long so I can't speak to longevity however, assembly was relatively easy and we enjoy the sturdiness of the bike. My husband and I are in agreement that it was a good buy especially since I decided to cancel my gym membership due to COVID. When things settle we will be back in the gym but this is nice to have at home.

Overall, a good product.

It's sturdy, compact, and relatively easy to assemble. Also very quiet (so far). Some additional things would make it even better. First, there are no straps on the pedals, though I had read somewhere there were straps before I made the purchase. Second, there is no water bottle holder. Third, the panel is difficult to read, especially in low-light situations, because it is not back-lit. But, overall, I'm happy with my purchase. (Note: Vanswe is shipping me a set of pedals with straps!)

Easy to operate.

I like the fact that it's easy to operate and assemble, works as expected! However the screen is not that great, the first screen would not pick up my heart rate. So I told the company and the were quick to send me another screen free of charge. Now that screen faded so much that I can barely see it, waiting for customer service to reply to email.

Great Purchase

I am only 5' Tall but the bike fits me just fine. It was easy to put together using the video's step by step instructions but the only draw back for me was the actual timing and tracking on it is not easy to understand or use. The instructions were not that clear. But I just get on it a go. Happy with my purchase.

Very Quiet Bike!

It is fairly easy to put together however, directions as not well written. You must read and re-read and let your common sense prevail. It needs to be assembled in a very well lit room as it is black and imprints on pieces are difficult to see. When installing seat adjustment handle be sure handle is in the upright position when bolting on otherwise you won't be able to adjust seat to multiple positions for different users.

Does the job at the price

We have not tried to use all the features. Could not get in one of the screws for assembly but it is stable enough without that one screw. All in all, it is doing the job at a very good price so I am satisfied enough. Probably if I'd wanted to pay another 1000 bucks, I could have gotten something better, but I feel I got at least as much as I paid for.

Decent quality for the price

Nice simple recumbent bike. Took about 20 minutes to unbox and put together. Instructions weren't the best, but the assembly was pretty straightforward. Make sure to lock the seat down fully before using. Seat is quite loose when not locked down. Overall it was worth the money, but didn't feel as sturdy as a more expensive bike, but for a casual user, should be just fine.

Small Footprint, Nice Basic Recumbant Bike

After mulling over getting an exercise bike for well over a year, I finally decided to give this Vanswe recumbent exercise bike a go! It arrived very quickly and my neighbor put it together for me (which I really really appreciated!). I have only been using it for a few days, but so far, I really like it! I have the resistance set to 10 which is a decent resistance at least for now, and so far I have been exercising on it for about 10 to 15 minutes a day. My plan is to move that up to about 20 to 25 minutes a day over the next month or so as I can fit it into my schedule.Since this review is so close to when I have started using it, I will revisit my review in a few months and update it as appropriate, but for now all I have are good things to say about this bike! It takes up less space than I thought it would (Yay!); it's completely stable when I am using it; it's very quiet; and for someone who just wants a basic bike, it works very well at least for 10 to 15 minute workout! As icing on the cake, it looks really cool with it's red accents against the black background! It's a great little exercise bike that is working very well!

Customer service is excellent!

When I assembled this bike which I will say was one of the easiest I've ever done and I've done several over the years. Unfortunately something must've happened in transit as the noise it made when peddling was unacceptable. I sent a video to the seller and they immediately sent a new chassis. I will update this review when I receive it and try it!Latest update! Again I say 5 starsr for this company's customer service!! When the replacement bike came it too had some damage and they immediately refunded my money and declined having it returned! I was able to hammer out some of the dents and piece together a bike that works perfectly. Certainly I would recommend this company and purchase!!

Heavy Duty Incumbent Exercise Bike is Effective Value

Upon purchasing I weighed over 370 lbs. and needed a heavy-duty bike capable of holding my weight while I attempt to slim down. The bike shipped to my home quickly and was easy to install. I found the directions to be spot on with all parts and tools needed to assemble it.On first use of the machine, I found the bike to be well made and the large seat to be very comfortable.I have begun usage with light tension and short workout time. Each week have gradually increased these settings. The led display that comes with the bike is simple but gives you information that you can use to gauge your progress. I had to replace the supplied batteries after 2 days use but the replacements I have held up for the 6 weeks that I have used to bike to date. So far, I have lost about 6 pounds during this time and confident that I will continue to lose weight using the bike daily as I do.<> ConsI have noticed is that the grip bars around the seat are too close together for a large man like me with the waste of 60+ so when I grip the sensors there's little room for comfort but they do pick up the reading of my pulse and appear to be consistently working properly. Also, the bike pedals are (for me) too close to the cranks causing my large shoes to rub against them as I exercise. This may be simply corrected with pedal extenders added between the cranks and pedals that can be purchased through Amazon.Another thing I would mention is the stability of the seat giving me the feeling that I need to be careful not to lean left or right of my shoulders for fear of the seat breaking at its mount under my weight. This is mostly noted when I am placing my feet in the pedal stirrups.<> ProsThe seat handles are comfortable to grip and the foreword handlebars are also comfortable to grip when I use them. Pedaling the bike is smooth and silent. The bike is easy to move from one room to the other and is fairly Nice looking for an exercise machine.With that said I am happy with this purchase and recommend to anyone needing an incumbent exercise bike who is starting out heavy needing an affordable solution to indoor exercise.

We really like this recumbent bike. The Dr. suggested it to help my husband lose weight, but also to keep strain off of his knees. The main draw is that it supports 400 pounds. I had issues getting ours because it was sent by FedEx & it got lost in FedEx land. I contacted the company & explained the situation, & they shipped me a new one out. They are great to work with! The downside to this is the assembly. My husband have been putting assembly required stuff together for 19 years, but this bike about did us in. I showed my husband the video & he quickly picked up on the fact, that guy didn't follow the directions. We both agree that you should pay the $100 for someone else to put it together! Trust me, it will save you a lot of stress.

Follow the Instructions

This product is used for exercise because it is low impact. We are in our 80s and it took us about 2 hours to assemble. I like the quietness of this exercise bike when in use. It is well constructed, sturdy and easily moved. The only problem we had was in attaching the wire connecters to the computer. The instructions give the numbers 10 and 11 wire connections to make. They were hard for us to find, and I intend to use a dab of paint to color-code these connections for future use

Easy to put together

I was impressed with how it was packaged for shipment. Everything was taped together and solid. The bike was easy to put together…I am basically a slug with two left hands and I managed it on my own. It does have wheels on the front to make moving it around easier but I didn’t find these to be all that helpful. I’ve used it several times now and I am pleased with its performance.

Wish it was a little wider but it works well. I scheduled someone to come put it together the did a fantastic job.

Quiet, comfortable, and effective

Exactly what we were looking for. Simple and nice. Used it a few times, and can say it's very quiet, works well, and is easy to set up and use. Seat was surprisingly comfortable and easy to adjust for me and my wife. Has a good center of gravity too, no wobbling from what we noticed.

Assembly review

Product arrived at least five days earlier than promised. It took me at least 15 minutes to unwrap all the parts, but it was very securely packed with lots of thoughtful touches. I'm not super mechanical, it took me about 90 minutes to assemble not including the unpacking. If I were to do it again I would get a second person for the first couple of steps to help hold the heavy stuff in place, and also use a screw gun with a phillips and hex bit as most of the work is done with the provided allen/phillips tool. Would probably cut the time down by at least 30 minutes. There were quite a few parts and 9 pages of schematics - but it was really well laid out and engineered in a way that it was hard to put something in backwards - and they had clear warnings whenever it was possible to put something in the wrong way. I've put together a lot of cheap "overseas" stuff, and this was head and shoulders above, both in instruction and engineering. My only mystery was the very last step, they only instruct you to hook up 2 of the 3 wires to the screen and I couldn't figure out what the third was for (future use?), but I hooked up all three anyway and it all works so no harm no foul. The unit is crazy sturdy, like something you'd use in a gym. Very high quality and there was room to spare on the leg length and I am 6'5". The seat is so comfortable compared to an upright bike seat you almost want to just sit in it even when not exercising. The one design quibble is that the pedal clips are a little small for bigger feet and I had to consciously keep my legs a bit to the outside to keep my shoes from knocking the pedal hinges during rotation (narrow feet would be better). Going to try it without shoes and see if that helps. But in summary, this is a quality heavy duty product that has been well thought out and I look forward to using it!

Absolutely awesome bike!

I can only echo the comments below. They are the reason I bought this particular recumbent bike. Everything was clearly numbered and the bike may have taken me about 3 hours to complete. I’m 73 years old and I’m glad I own a 2-wheel dolly. The box - at 70 pounds is difficult to move alone. Once the bike is finished however, the front wheels make it easy to move around.

This thing is SOLID!

I stand 6'5" and weight 350lbs on a good day. Needless to say, the exercise equipment I use and, well, everything else I use need to be "sturdy". This recumbent bike fit the bill. Not only does it afford me enough leg room to actually use it, it is rock solid under my "petite" backside. The seat is comfortable and the resistance is decent. When I say decent, I mean it'll give you a good cardio workout if you're on it for 30 minutes, but it won't feel like the second leg of the Tour de France. I think those who complained about the resistance dial not working probably had a loose wire in the bike. Mine had no such issue and you can certainly feel the difference between level 2 and level 8.There are a few cons, but at the price point of this unit I didn't feel they detracted from the value. What you're getting is a very sturdy, capable exercise bike. Yes, it's bare bones but it's doesn't cost $900+, which many of the bigger options can run. So, what are these "cons" you ask? Well, for starters the controls and control panel are VERY basic. The touch controls are a little finiky and the heart rate monitor and calories burned displays are, let's just say... "generous". That's about it. You can get a fit bit or a smart watch and use an app on your phone to get better functionality.Bottom line, if your a bigger person who's looking for some no nonsense cardio equipment, then you should seriously consider this unit.

Just what this 67-year-old needed. Absolutely perfect. I wake up early every morning so I turn on the news get on this bike ride for half hour to an hour, before you Even know it. I get good exercise circulation. It's improved my balance and I'm losing weight. What a great piece of equipment!. Highly recommend

Easy to put together

Instructions were very good. It came with all parts, didn’t require any special tools. and it took me about 3 hours to put together. I only got in and used it for a few minutes but it seems like it’s sturdy and easy to adjust the tension and seat. Looking forward to trying it out with my new knee (TKR) and my old knee. It’s basic but should serve my rehab and prehab purposes. If it turns out to have issues, I’ll update this review. For now 5 stars.

This baby is great. Digital readout lacks luster and should be redesigned......as others have complained. But I bought it for comfort, so I still gave it 5 stars. If you are creeping up in years and looking for a good form of exercise without the pain... then this boy is for you. Very comfortable. Seat is VERY adjustable. I put 11 miles on it this morning and 6 more this afternoon...without a sore butt !! Great buy for $326.00. I am 5'8 in and 220 lbs and it fits me like a glove. Wife loves it too.

This is the recumbent bike you want!

Take your time with the assembly. Lay out all parts, read through the instructions first. All bolts etc. are labeled and packaged separately. Nothing to mix up. Tools provided did the job as well. One thing to share that I read on somebody's review. Put monitor on before putting the handle bars on. Easier to put screws in and tighten! Super smooth and quiet riding, easy to watch TV and hear it. Monitor options are nice. Easy to use. Very impressed with the weight capacity. I'm 315 lbs and this frame handles the weight effortlessly! Simple seat adjustment makes changeover quick, my wife is 5'0" and I'm 6'3". Cup holder nice feature! Keeping track of your heart rate with the easy to use handgrips show you your heart rate on the monitor. Large readout on monitor a plus! Definitely worth the money! What are you waiting for? Because it is a small bicicle

It doesn't take too much space wich is very good for people like me who have a small place.

It’s silent. I can hear the tv or music while exercising.

Assembly took nearly an hour, but it isn’t hard. I just like to take my time and make sure I don’t miss something important. I was pleasantly surprised that it is completely silent. A previous exercise bike used a fan for resistance, and it was very noisy. This one makes zero noise. I can hear the tv or music in the room at a normal level without needing ear buds. The two of us are using it 4-5 days/week. It is easy to adjust for our different leg lengths. It seems like the heart rate monitor isn’t correct any more after a few weeks of use, otherwise it would be 5 stars. Everything else is working fine.

Seems to be exactly what we were hoping for

We know we need to exercise more, but recent surgery on my fiance's knee pretty much made it necessary to get a recumbent bike for her continued recovery. She was going to expensive physical rehab a couple of times a week and riding the recumbent bike was the main thing they had her doing. So we wanted to buy a *good* recumbent bike, one that operates smoothly, quietly, and if possible, built like a tank. This bike from Vanswe was just the ticket. We took our time assembling it, following the instructions and took turns turning the wrench (included). I'd guess it took over an hour but less than two for the whole process, but as I said we weren't in any particular hurry. We are very happy with this piece of heavy duty, well-designed and built exercise equipment. Everything works as intended. And it looks and feels like it would survive WWIII. Highly recommended.

I'm happy with this purchase. Product arrived in time frame given. I took my time putting it together, but it was a simple build. It took about two hours. All of the screws and washers arrived in one package with the needed tools. The instruction booklet was well written so if you like building things, I would suggest you give it a try. I'm a big guy so I needed something that would hold me. The bike is solidly built and comfortable. The one knock is that the instructions for the computer aren't great. It's supposed to tell you your heart rate and things like that, but it doesn't explain how it all works. I don't need any of that, so it's a non-issue for me. I haven't tried all of the levels of tension, but the few I've tried gets the job done.

Love it!

Very good quality. Absolutely silent so it doesn't disturb anyone watching television. Assembled by my husband and I in about an hour and a half. Could probably be done by one person, but much easier with two. I have spinal lumbar issues and am unable to ride a regular bike. This is very comfortable to ride. I find riding for an hour or more is no problem. It feels so good to be exercising again! I started out slowly, just a mile or two at a time. I have gradually increased the resistance and distance so I don't over do and get sore. I definitely recommend this to anyone with lumbar issues. It's good exercise without the pain of walking.

Exercise bike for a big guy

Being 6-3 and weighing 265lbs, I was seeking a sturdy bike for physical therapy purposes (upcoming knee replacement). The reviews had positive comments. Bike was delivered semi assembled by factory. I am not handy at all, but instructions straight forward, hardware easy to spot in shrink wrap card and simple tools provided were more than sufficient. Took me about 2 hours to unpack, assemble and get first ride in. Still new to me but settings and product seems solid. I am a 34 inch inseam and it looks like it could fit some one even taller.

I am 330lb female, who 8s completely out of shape. I have had major health issues these past five years which caused complete loss of leg muscle and strength. This bike allows me to start off with no tension and will allow me to work my way up to heavy tension. This bike gives basic readings for pulse rate, calories burn, distance and time length of workout. I have it sitting in front of my living room TV on a rug .

Great for cardio in doors.

I've really enjoyed having this at home bike. So much more convenient then going to a gym for cardio sessions.I did have some problems with the bike but that should be expected if your going to use it a lot. Between the wife and I we avg about 300 miles a week on it. Lucky the customer service is amazing and within a day of contacting them they sent replacement parts. Also for a reference I am around 275-280 and I have no discomfort and seems to hold me just fine.

This machine is so awesome and so easy to use as well. I am so glad I decided to buy one. I was looking at them for weeks and finally decided to get one and so glad I did. I had two hip replacement surgeries and the recumbent bike is so much better to use it doesn’t hurt your hips like a regular bike would. My physical therapist recommend me getting one and so I did. Love using it. It’s so easy and enjoyable as well I’m 73 and enjoying this so much. Glad I got one. My husband has a bad back and he likes it as well which is really great as well. If you are thinking about getting one do. You won’t be disappointed at all.

Quiet and Easy

I love it.. It is very quiet, easy to assemble and doesn’t take up too much space. The monitor stopped working after a week..May be a battery issue as there is no on/off switch. It’s a pretty basic monitor..but that was expected. Happy to have it.

Where you can slide your foot across to other pedal, not much room. I have skinned my leg twice enough to make it bleed on the sharp ends. Now I have to figure out how to make a cushion so it doesn't happen again

I ordered Vanswe Recumbent Exercise Bike for Adults, and it was delivered on time.The bike was easy to assemble. It took us about an hour. The instructions to assemble was very good and all the parts were clearly labelled and numbered.I 've used it only once as we got it only yesterday. So, far it is working well and quite good for the price.

Foot straps too small

The foot straps for this recumbent bike are too small. I have size 11 1/2 wide feet and even the largest setting won't work for me. I contacted the company and they reimbursed me for larger straps which fit perfectly! The bike is great1 I am please with their customer service and would buy from them again. Thank you.

Great for bad backs

I used a treadmill at home for many years until I developed a lower-back problem. My doctor recommended an exercise bike. An internet search led me to Vanswe. I chose it for the following reasons:- it looked sturdy and well-designed- the price was reasonable- I liked the simplicity of the electronic displayIt was easy to assemble. There was one problem with the pedal assembly (my fault), my brother helped me fix it. I have been very happy with the performance. Great machine, helps me stay fit.

This item came on time, was all that they described. I did have a clunking coming from the right pedal for a short period of time in each of the first 3 days. After that...it has been over a week, the clunking is gone and is very quiet!. It easy on the back, more than normal bikes. Love the heartrate feature to better warm up and cool down on the bike. This bike was a work out putting together. If you can't find the parts in the part package check the place on the bike to see if parts were pre assemble. I'm 62 5ft 7in weigh 250+ lbs. I got the bike already to go, however my R-knee hurts to make a complete turn on the bike. That's not the bikes fault, I got the bike to help with stiffness in my one knee by losing some weight.I'm going to work through the pain and hope it helps.Update- knee is working better whew Hooo! Im gonna keep on pedaling.

Incredibly quiet and easy to assemble

The bike was very easy to assemble and took maybe an hour or two to assemble. The bike itself is comfortable to sit in, and incredibly easy to use. There is virtually no noise when pedaling which makes it easy watch something, or play games while biking. The display panel is nothing amazing, but it does everything you need it to do. There is a companion app you can download which basically lets you track all the display information on your phone as well. Overall great experience, and would highly recommend.

Very Nice Product

Bought this product because my doctor recommended something with low impact exercise. This bike is really nice, well made and worth the money. It was easy enough to put together, the only issue we had is we both have bad knees and kneeling on the floor is impossible. We placed it on our bar for all of the lower components and then back on the floor for the seat, seat back and monitor . Worked perfectly. I would definitely recommend this product. It's challenging but easy

I'm 83 years old. I haven't found a gym that I liked enough to join so I decided to go for a recumbent bike. This one met my specifications of a good price & good ratings. My son-in-law set it up for me and I starting using it the next day. My times vary, but I'm averaging 20 plus minutes daily and plan to work up to a higher number. I watch TV while pedaling which distracts me from the fact that I'm working out.

Great Exercise Bike at a Great Price

The Vanswe Recumbent Exercise Bike 400 Recumbent Bike is a great addition to my exercise routine. The bike was relatively easy to assemble and is sturdy, comfortable, easily adjustable, and well designed. This is a quality bike for the price. It offers resistance in forward and reverse pedaling, which is what I needed. The water bottle holder works well with today's extra thin water bottles. The monitor is easy to read and keeps you aware of your progress.

Easy enough to assemble solo. Plus size people using the machine and so far it's been sturdy enough to support the weight! Only downside is that the screen takes batteries vs a plug, so you have to change out batteries all the time.

Im a very large person and this bike is easy to get on and off of and its very sturdy. Biggest complaint I have is trying to get both feet in the feet straps at the same time. Once I get them both in then its fine but need help to get both feet in pedals

After reviewing hundreds of recumbent bikes thankfully I decided on this one. It was easy to assemble as we took our time. It is so quiet! The seat is very large and comfortable. I love that it is so heavy duty and sturdy. All the functions work great. Highly recommend!

Reliable product

Product came within a couple of days. My husband put it together. Used it the next day.... the bike is very quite, and rides very smooth. The tension is very good. working to go up the numbers. Very satisfied with the bike. Would refer to friends and family. I also got resistant bands from the company. Those also came with in a couple of days....good quality. This is a five star product

Easy to assemble. Screw holes precisely match. Instructions were clear. Steel frame is sturdy and appears to be well made.Operation: Comfortable and easy to adjust for use by more than one person. Totally silent. Eight positions for increasing pedaling effort work well.Monitor works well and appears to be accurate. Have not used the optional Bluetooth feature yet.

Just what I needed

I'm a big dude and needed something to help me start exercising more that was low impact and still got me moving, and this did the trick. It was pretty easy to assemble with 2 people, and I'm sure one person could get it put together fairly easily as well. I read a lot other great reviews and I hope to get lots of use out of this bike too.

Communication is everything

Love the bike. Pretty sturdy too. The pulse wire could not push together. I called the company they walked me through some trouble shooting with video demonstrations. Company sent me a brand new pulse wire along with a email video on how to replace wire. Was pretty easy. My bike is now 100%. Help came very fast. They were in constant communication with me. Great!

Was very easy to assemble, took maybe a 45 minutes to a hour. Was taking my time. Seems very good. Only used 2 times so far only thing is wish the seat locked in held in position by you sitting on it .

I bought with the pro install. But when I got it I just took my time and found I could put this together myself in a nice time. Instructions are really simple to follow. Works as advertised. Seat is really comfy as any piece of exercise equipment should be. It's about a 1/4 the price of a high end unit but does what you need to. Really good deal

There was a manufacturer problem with the preassemble but the Seller was fabulous with making it right. He sent the correct part, the tools to fix and instructional videos. I assembled in about an hour alone. I have rode close to three hundred miles and still very sturdy with no tightening needed. Very quiet ride!

Good value for the money

I use this bike to get some exercise. I am 65 yrs old and the bike is very comfortable, smooth operation and very quiet. I ride about 11 miles a day and the seat is very comfortable. You have to be careful when dismounting due to the center bar. Your foot can get caught on it. Well worth the money, would purchase again.

Great machine

I purchased the Vanswe after returning a Sunny unit that had a bad bearing after two weeks and Vanswe says they use needle bearings. OK to put together. Seat is more comfortable. Unit is extremely quiet. The design shows care in producing a quality product. My wife likes it much better than the previous one.

The bike arrived within the time frame I was told. Carton was somewhat torn(shippers fault)but the components were not damaged due to the excellent packaging. Assembly was easy following the user manual provided. The wide seat and back rest are a great feature. Just What The Doctor Ordered

Being about a year into retirement, (at 67) I'm now feeling the effects of reduced activity and the perils of such, A resent trip to my doctor revealed my blood sugar is out of control and my A1c has skyrocketed to 11.5. Needless to say, my doctor lowered the hammer on me and told me to cut all my calories in half, and get my big butt on a recumbent bike, for at least an hour a day. I'm 6' 1” and currently weigh in at about 337 lbs. So after many hours of researching and sifting through the lighter made models, (also the cheaper models ) I decided the Vanswee for $299, was the one for me.Instructions were plain and simple to read. All bolts,nuts and washers are plainly marked . Assembly time was about 30 minutes, ( give or take) . Instructions are basically a “picture book” with numbered hardware to match.As far as performance goes.....this bike is smooth and quit... and plenty big enough for my “large” self. I placed it in my office on an exercise mat and it stays steady and smooth ( no wobbling) while operating.Shipping time was good and arrived in great shape....Thanks Amazon.All in all.........I'm a Happy Camper

Exercise while seated!

Do you have a New Years' resolution, with a plan to take action? If so, this bike may be your answer. It's comfortable and extremely quiet, being easy to listen to music, watch TV, etc. If you are desiring to not listen to your significant other, this would NOT be a good piece of equipment to support that excuse!The programming, is straight forward and seems to accurate for mileage, however, the heart rate, doesn't seem to register as it should, which is not a concern for me. Tools were included for assembly which was good. However on closer inspection, it suggested to make sure that areas of the bike were regularly tightened down. I've only had to tighten one time so far, which was in the first 20 miles of use. So I would not consider this a concern.A nice, sturdy bike for price, which I would highly recommend!

Sturdy Bike, Comfy Seat, Low Resistance

The bike arrived just one day after I placed my order, 4 days sooner than expected, so that was great! The parts were packaged well, everything was tight, secure, and taped town.The instructions could have been better. There are a few parts that can be installed in different orientations, so a clearer image would have been useful, but I figured it out in the end. If you're unsure of how a part fits, try looking at a close-up picture of the bike, or flip ahead a page or two in the manual, that helped me figure things out. It probably took 1-2 hours to assemble, but I'm not very handy so I'm sure most people could get it together faster.The bike itself feels very sturdy. I'm a big girl and the seat is surprisingly comfortable, even for my ample bottom. I don't love the position of the heart-rate sensors on the handle, it feels like I have to really bend or slouch down a bit to get a good reading from the, but maybe I just have short arms or a long torso or something. It's very easy to adjust the seat, and it locks firmly in place. Nothing on the bike feels flimsy or dangerous. The cup holder is very basic, but it serves its purpose, though I don't think bottles over maybe 26oz would fit in there. (My 23oz water bottle fits with just a little room to spare.)The LCD screen is primitive, and there are no built in training programs or anything like that, but I knew that when I bought it. It can display Speed (mph), Distance (miles), Time (in minutes), Calories Burned, and your heart rate, as measured by the handlebar sensors. You can have the screen continuously cycle through these readouts every 6 seconds, or manually select the display you want. It also keeps a running odometer that tells you how many miles you've biked in total since you put the batteries (included) in the monitor. The screen will auto shut-off after a few minutes of inactivity, and it retains the information from your last workout on the screen if you start it up again. I can't decide if I like that feature or not, as that means you have to press the reset button every time you get on for a new workout, but having to press a button at the start of your workout is certainly nothing to complain about. It also has a little grove on the monitor stand for you to place your phone, iPad, or tablet, but it is very narrow and any device placed there will cover up the LCD display.The bike isn't light, but it's also not too heavy, nor as big as I thought it would be. Really easy to move, but I wouldn't want to take it up or down stairs once assembled. The bike is also silent, it makes no noise at all.The resistance on this bike was the only disappointment for me. Even at the max setting of 8, it's still quite easy to pedal. I am really out of shape and it was no problem for me to set it to max, even during my first session, so be cautious if this is important to you. I'm still able to get the kind of workout I'd like from the bike, and there certainly IS resistance, just not nearly as much as I was hoping for, or expecting.A few of the parts came with small scratches or smudges on the finish, but nothing egregious. The manual included some great tips for care, maintenance, and even ideal heart rates. The manual also says there is Bluetooth on the device, but I don't think that's a feature the bike actually has, at least not for this 2022 model. There is an app for this bike, but I haven't downloaded it and cannot comment on its utility.Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with my purchase. I don't think it's ideal for super active people looking for a strenuous workout, there just isn't enough resistance on the bike, but if you're like me and just trying to be a little more active, I would recommend it. I'll update this review if anything changes.

Great Quality - Great Purchase

Nothing negative to report here! Loved the way they packaged and labeled the screws and washers! Each of these were sealed individually in hard plastic and labeled on one piece of cardboard. Only opened the screws as needed. All parts were there and all the screw holes were all lined up correctly. Very sturdy and heavy made. Extremely comfortable seat and back. Whisper quiet, no noise! Directions were clear and the detailed pictures too.

Assembly was easy though I think the computer should be attached before the front handlebar. I'm right at 380 lbs. which is well below the maximum. The seat has a bit of wobble. Otherwise so far so good. Seems to work as intended.

Sturdy, quiet exercise bike

This bike is very quiet. I can watch and hear the TV while riding without having to wear earphones. It arrived very well packed with no damage. It took me about 30 minutes to unpack as many parts were wrapped and taped together with various packing material for protection. One of the best packing jobs I've experienced. I think it took about 90 minutes to assemble, less than I thought after looking at the parts spread out on the floor. Everything fit easily, I took care to make sure the control wires did not fall back through the tubes before they were connected. They packed the correct number of washers in total, but they had too few of the larger ones and too many of the smaller ones.The seat is comfortable, although I wish it had a bit more form-fitting with more lumbar support. Nevertheless I usually ride for about 30 minutes and my back has been fine. I've used it almost daily for about 4 weeks now and everything works pretty much as advertised. The interface screen is not elaborate, but I have been able to blue tooth it with my cell phone. I feel like the heart rate monitor errs a bit from time to time, but I don't use heart rate much. I can get up and adjust the room thermostat or answer a call and the bike remembers my distance and calories, (unless I reset it). I could let it accumulate these numbers for the week if I wanted to. The seat to pedal distance is easily adjustable to fit my 6 foot frame. I like the pedal clips.There are some minor negatives. Compared to a commercial recumbent bike, the foot pedals are a bit close to the floor. If I pedal with my heels down, they can rub the floor (I wear size 11 shoes). I can avoid this by holding my feet more horizontal through the bottom half of the rotation. The pedals also are a bit close to the levers coming off the axle, so that an athletic shoe with a wide sole can scrape against the levers. I've switched to shoes with a less flared sole to avoid that. The only other negative is that, like many commenters with magnetic resistance, the maximum resistance setting is not as difficult as bikes with friction resistance. Its not an issue at my level of fitness, but I could see experienced bikers wanting more resistance. All in all I am quite happy with this purchase.

Solid construction

I am attempting to start 2023 with a healthier lifestyle. This bike is great for my arthritic knees and back. Nice full seat, relatively low to the ground, no impediment to stepping safely into it.

Worth the money

Two seniors needed convenient, easy exercise. It’s perfect for our needs. We use it several times a day. We are both large people and the sturdiness is comfortable and feels safe. We had one small issue that proved to be our misunderstanding. But the customer service was fantastic! I would recommend.

I think it will work great . Easy to put together and I wont be trying to break it. I am in therapy for my back right now and I actually assembled it in two sittings because my back is messed up. I bought it for leg work to keep my weight down and then discovered three years ago I broke my back and the hospital missed it on an xray after an accident. So now we will see where we go from here. On this date March 3rd maybe I am to strenuous but something in the internal has come loose.Any can help please . I do use it and 5 miles twice and it's going over a cliff. Thanks

Wanted to give a shout out on a great product. I'm a retired dentist and fitness buff with a home gym. I wanted a recumbent bike since my lumbar disk are starting to go south and I didn't think my treadmill was helpful. It came well packaged. Very easy instructions. It works well out of the box. I just noticed a bit of a bad union (see picture). But that doesn’t affect the ability to ride the bike. All in all it’s a good bike. I’ll continue to explore it and update as I see fit.Update: I haven’t been able to connect the Bluetooth. I wonder if it even has the ability to connect to Bluetooth. If it does, I haven’t figured out how to set it up.

I was surprised as to how easy it was to put together. However if you don't see a screw where all the screws are secured and separated in plastic, look on the piece that it will be screwed into. It will be there.

VANSWE RECUMBENT EXERCISE BIKE

After viewing the manual and viewing the manual first is the first thing you should do. Following the instructions was easy. All pieces were included in the carton. I took my time and it took about an hour to assemble. I’m 6 ft - 2 inches about 265 lbs. the bike is heavy duty and well built. The magnetic resistance is good for what I need. The display gives you time, distance, calories burnt and heart rate. I’m scheduled to have a total knee replacement soon and I purchased this bike for in home physical therapy. The operation is silent and precise. For around $300.00 I feel it’s money well spent.

I like it!

We purchased this recumbent bike to aid in my knee rehab. It arrived much earlier than expected. The box was in very good shape.My husband was able to assemble it in a few hours. He thought the instructions and included tools were good. There was only one hitch. The seat wobbled (many reviews indicated this). My husband reassembled and repositioned the seat adjuster lever. Now it works perfectly with no more wobbling. (note to others... try redoing your seat adjuster lever). I was able to use it immediately. The monitor is bright and easy to see. It can be reset for each workout which is nice. The Odometer keeps a running total on all your workouts. The tension knob is conveniently located and I can feel a slight increase of tension as the number goes up. The drink holder doubles as a nice place to hold my phone. The bike is whisper quiet and nice looking with the red details.The only cons I can describe are: I am a short person (5'1") so to get a decent stretch for my knee, the seat has to be at the closest setting. Even then I can only finger touch the handlebars. I have to use the seat bars which is ok since that is where the heart monitors are. (the monitor readings seem to be very close to my fitbit reading) To get a tighter knee stretch in the future I will have to put a pillow behind me to make me closer to the front of the machine. My other alternative is to make the foot straps tighter so my foot does not go all the way in..I have only had the bike for about a week, and already the included batteries are weak and need replacing. I will see how long they last when I replace them with a better energizer brand battery.The only thing I don't like is that when I replace the batteries, I will lose my Odometer reading and it will reset to zero. I like seeing how many total miles I have biked. But... there is nothing that can be done about that I guess. It would be nice if the monitor had an on/off switch to save the batteries as it stays on for 2 minutes after I am done with my workout.In conclusion, I think this model bike is a good fit for what I need it for. The price-point was a considering factor as was the seat style. (it resembles the seats on the bike I used at physical therapy). It is very comfortable. The seat lever can be adjusted while sitting on the bike. I did not want one that had to be done before you sat down with the pin adjuster. This bike will keep me motivated to get my knee ROM up to an acceptable number.Update on battery life: first battery logged in 25 miles of use (remember I am a senior citizen and do not pedal fast) The second set of Duracell batteries logged in 75 miles. Do don't be disappointed that this machines gobbles up batteries. Still love this machine and using it twice a day for knee exercise.

Nice, Sturdy Bike

This is a good bike. We were looking for a bike with a higher weight capacity, and this one fits the bill. The seat is slightly wobbly, but it is otherwise very sturdy. My husband and I are both larger people and we are comfortable using this bike. I like the adjustability of the seat.

Fantastic Bike

My daughter and grandson put it together within an hour or two probably could have been faster but they have to argue over who knows what they are doing. They bike is exactly like the one I used while doing physical therapy and the cost was awesome. The only problem is my children and grandchildren come over almost every day to use it. They say it’s better than the ones at their gym. It checks your heart rate, miles, pulse and other things I haven’t turned on yet. Best Buy Ever

Happy so far

The first thing that you'll notice is the excellent packaging they took the time to do. The instruction are easy and nicely detailed . No tools needed as they are supplied . I am impressed with the simply but good quality of this product so far. It's quiet and the control head is simple and easy to use . The tensioner works nicely and the seat to comfortable . I ride a mountain bike when the weather permits and bought this to keep the legs in check . I'll give another review in a month or so after I get some miles on it. But so far I give it a thumbs up.

This recumbent exercise bike is perfect for me. I'm a 58 year old 6'1" tall woman with 38" long legs. I'm going to have a knee replacement in 3 months and I bought it because I need to get in shape PRIOR, but everything else hurts (parts of my femur literally disintegrated) so I can't walk well and am in near constant pain. I can't even swim - it feels like my right leg is going to fall off.I can ride this bike without pain!I uploaded a picture of calories burned - (that's my dog supervising).I would HIGHLY recommend this recumbent bike. It even has a pass through so that I don't have to step OVER the middle to sit down. This is great now and will be critical for safety after the knee replacement.The seat is wide and gives great back support. There's a heart rate monitor on the lower handle bars (on either side of the seat) that makes it handy to swiftly know if I'm in the zone.The monitor can stay in one place and be manually advanced, or one can put it on a skip mode so it cycles through each of the stats as one is pedaling.The bike is also VERY stable. There are two "stand up" handles that are simply for help standing and getting off the bike after a workout. They add safety and stability for me.I discovered that the calorie monitor resets after burning 1,000 calories. I've gotta admit - that was a proud moment.

I like everything about it. I am 82 years old now and bought it 2 1/2 years ago I am 6 feet tall and weigh 160 pounds, and the bike fits me well. I ride it about every second day for 15 or 20 minutes. Today I got on and when I pedaled the monitor did not come on. I put in new batts, no help, tested the batts and they are good (and new). So I put a timer on the ledge on the monitor and rode . The resistance settings were working fine, so I rode anyway. The basic machine seems good so I will keep riding it this way and wait for a miracle.

Install handle bars AFTER computer

Surprisingly solid build and easy to assemble. My only criticism is the instructions should direct you to put the handle bars last. The allen wrench can't spin around when installing the computer if the handle bars go on first. Its a minor inconvenience.

I have had the bike for over a week. I’m over 60, and have arthritis in a knee where I was advised to keep it moving. Overall, I really like the bike.

A+ onthe instructions, The hardware is clearly labeled, and the instructions are step-by-step through the entire assembly . it took me about five hours to put it together and I’m a novice. They include tools, thankfully.

Only two cautions I would note to the viewer:

1. While, they take a lot of care to make certain the bike hardware has not got hard edges for the rider, the rail where the seat sits does not have protection. You’ll see in the image above that I have taped that edge with some packing material. It would only be a matter of time before I hurt myself on that while getting in and out of the bike. While you could lift your leg over the seat to avoid it, if you’re in a hurry, you’re not going do that.

2. The computer they have is not a good one. I like the fact that you can put your iPad or iPhone on it. However, their button stick and their display does not work as promised. They did for about a day or two and now they stick and don’t function properly.

I’m not sorry I got it, it’s comfortable to ride in front of the television and I can easily pop in time while I’m watching my morning news, or any other program at night.

Sturdy, quiet exercise bike

This bike is very quiet. I can watch and hear the TV while riding without having to wear earphones. It arrived very well packed with no damage. It took me about 30 minutes to unpack as many parts were wrapped and taped together with various packing material for protection. One of the best packing jobs I've experienced. I think it took about 90 minutes to assemble, less than I thought after looking at the parts spread out on the floor. Everything fit easily, I took care to make sure the control wires did not fall back through the tubes before they were connected. They packed the correct number of washers in total, but they had too few of the larger ones and too many of the smaller ones.

The seat is comfortable, although I wish it had a bit more form-fitting with more lumbar support. Nevertheless I usually ride for about 30 minutes and my back has been fine. I've used it almost daily for about 4 weeks now and everything works pretty much as advertised. The interface screen is not elaborate, but I have been able to blue tooth it with my cell phone. I feel like the heart rate monitor errs a bit from time to time, but I don't use heart rate much.

I can get up and adjust the room thermostat or answer a call and the bike remembers my distance and calories, (unless I reset it). I could let it accumulate these numbers for the week if I wanted to. The seat to pedal distance is easily adjustable to fit my 6 foot frame. I like the pedal clips.

There are some minor negatives. Compared to a commercial recumbent bike, the foot pedals are a bit close to the floor. If I pedal with my heels down, they can rub the floor (I wear size 11 shoes). I can avoid this by holding my feet more horizontal through the bottom half of the rotation. The pedals also are a bit close to the levers coming off the axle, so that an athletic shoe with a wide sole can scrape against the levers. I've switched to shoes with a less flared sole to avoid that. The only other negative is that, like many commenters with magnetic resistance, the maximum resistance setting is not as difficult as bikes with friction resistance. Its not an issue at my level of fitness, but I could see experienced bikers wanting more resistance. All in all I am quite happy with this purchase.

better than expected

I must admit I was a bit worried about purchasing this non-usa product given the reasonable price, but it seems very well made. It was relatively easy to put together (for two people). As with most products, the instructions could be a bit more clear, but honestly as long as you took your time to read each step, and look at the associated picture with each step, THEN read and look again to be sure, you'll have no problems.

The only complaint is that this is that for my 90 year old mother, even on level 1, it is a bit hard for her to pedal. She can do it, but would be nice if level 1 was basically no resistance instead of some resistance.

Great recumbent bike!

This is a great recumbent bike. Order arrived quickly and in good condition. Assembly was easy and only took about an hour and a half or so. Nice to have the monitor to keep track of workout time and distance. It also shows speed(which is pointless in my opinion as I could care less about how fast it indicates I am traveling). Not racing anyone. Also has an odometer reading and pulse reader. The pulse reader seems to be a bit 'wacky' as it fluctuates wildly at times. But, again, I don't really need to check my pulse rate anyway. But, overall, this bike functions great and is super quiet. Nice to be able to work arms as well. Also was a great price in comparison to other recumbents. Highly recommend this one.

Nice bike

Not a bad basic bike

Nice bike. My wife needed a recumbent bike to build up her quad strength after a knee replacement.

Assembly was easy except for a few things:

1- One of the nuts used to attach the stabilizer didn't have threads! It took a minute to realize this. See pictures

2- This didn't make assembly difficult, however the water bottle holder is on the outside of the front. This makes it impossible to drink while riding. Silly design error.

3- The pulse contacts on the handle bars does not read my pulse. I checked all of the connections, (a real pain after installation) all is good. I suspect a bad display. All connections were made and taped to secure them.

Not Difficult To Assemble

Comes in one box, packed well and not difficult to assemble. There are assembly videos on YT and the directions are decent that come in the box. Took about 1 hour for me to assemble and I do not enjoy assembling large items like this but it was fine. Make sure to tighten all of the bolts well. Very smooth and quiet to use.

I bought a regular stationary bike. And bought my wife to sit down bike. She has a bad back and a bad hip this thing works perfect for her.

Good value and easy to assemble

Very good value for the price. Efficient packaging and easy to assemble. It took me about 45 minutes. Takes up approximately 4.5 feet of space and nice wide seat for comfortable exercising. At 6’2 I have plenty of leg room but if you need more, you can remove the upper handle.

Perfect. This is great for someone with coordination and balance issues. My husband is 200+ pounds and 6ft tall and this thing seems stable and comfortable. He was able to get a good cardio challenge in 20 minutes. Plus it has a small footprint.

Perfect product in every way. This is a simple recumbent bike, no frills, at a great price. It all came in a small very heavy box, wrapped very carefully. Instructions written no doubt by an engineer, easy to follow. All parts fit. All materials well made, sturdy, and finished. It took me about 2 hours to unwrap, catalog all the parts, and build it. It works perfectly. My wife and I use it. It is perfectly quiet. One thing: If you have experience building stuff like this, you can do it. If not, think about who could do it. There are handyman (women) services near where I live.

Decent low cost, no frills recumbent exercise bike.

I wanted a low cost option to get some exercise at home. We had an older model of this brand that I broke because I didn't read the instructions (don't pedal backwards). Being freakishly tall, (6'9") it's generally difficult to properly size fitness equipment, but this works surprisingly well. It's definitely no frills. It took about an hour to assemble. Initially, I found the instructions a tiny bit confusing, but if you slow down and pay attention, it's really pretty easy. The "computer" is laughable. The only thing I trust to be accurate is the timer, and even that is a little sketchy. The calorie counter and odometer both seem way high, and the pulse meter is absolutely useless (it never got over 72 the entire time I rode). This is not a big deal for me because I use my smartwatch to track my pulse, and I'm really only interested in the amount of time I get my heart rate elevated. The tension control is OK, not particularly tight, but good enough to add a little extra work to the workout. You'll probably want to invest in an additional seat cushion, because the seat gets flat pretty fast. You'll also want to invest in a floor mat to protect the floor, absorb vibration and catch sweat drops.

Great machine with smooth resistance

I'm recuperating from a total knee replacement and needed a bike for my rehab. I'm so pleased with this bike, particularly in that the pedal resistance is perfectly consistent and adjustable. The seat slides too so I can easily adjust the pedaling arch to advance my ability to flex my knee. I had a question about assembling and adjusting the level that locks the seat in place; I was afraid I was going to break it it I pushed harder. I reached out to support and they were back with me in a few hours telling me exactly what I needed to know.

Nice bike for the price

This bike is smooth to ride, quiet, and has a nice display. The shelf above the display is the perfect size to hold a phone or tablet for reading while exercising. It took me about 2.5 hours to put together by myself over a couple of days (I was busy and didn't really track closely). Instructions for putting the bike together are fairly clear with two exceptions. In step 4, when placing the rear handlebars (05) on the seat support bracket (03), it looks like the lower hand pulse wire (27) needs to fit somewhere from the drawing. It does not. It just remains loose behind the bracket so it can be connected to the lower pulse connect wire (26) in step 6. In step 7, when attaching the back cushion (14) to the seat support bracket (03), you will only have part (95) screws left. Use those. The instructions erroneously list screw set 18, which has already been used. Overall, I am highly pleased with this purchase and would recommend it for those looking for a basic recumbent bike that is functional with nice features, but not unneeded bells and whistles.

Easy to assemble

I am a 71 year old woman & had both knees replaced last year. It took me 1.5 hrs to assemble this alone. Without cat supervision it would have been quicker. Everything that was needed was supplied including tools. Engineered nicely. The box was damaged during shipping, but it seems to be mostly OK. Will update if not. I’m 5’4” & it fit just fine. Way easier to use than my last one which was made like scissors. I feel safe using this one. It’s very quiet. Hoping to use it to lower my A1C.

Great value for a solid recumbent exercise bike

This is a very well designed recumbent exercise bike.

When it arrived, it was quite heavy. To me this means solid sturdy materials were used to build this equipment. Although I am NOT a mechanic between my former school teacher wife ( The kind of lady  who can follow instructions) & I we were able to assemble the heavy box of parts into a very nice exercise bike excellent for training her new knee to work again.  With picture and words for the guides, we were able to assemble in much less time than I thought possible.

We are able now to get sweat on our body, and increased heart rate on a regular basis while getting a full range of leg mption. You WILL be well pleased with this recumbent exercise  bike, a very great value for the money.

Assembly: It took me about 90 minutes to assembly, 30 of which involved unwrapping the yards of tape, plastic, and styrofoam in which the bike is packed. The bike comes with a box wrench and combo Allen wrench/screwdriver needed for assembly. The most important tool for assembly however is a box cutter to open the box and free the pieces. The actual assembly was easy--in the first step, make sure to attach the two base pieces in the correct place. The one with wheels goes on the front with the wheels facing forward and slightly down.

Bike: Once assembled, the bike is VERY sturdy and balanced. No movement front-to-back or side-to-side. There is a knob at the bottom of the frame below the seat that can be adjusted so there are five contact points to anchor the bike. You can easily move it by lifting the rear of the bike and using the small rollers on the front. This might be tougher on carpet as opposed to a smooth surface. The only flimsy part of the bike is the plastic monitor. The edge on top of the monitor fits a cell phone, Kindle, or tablet. It is not deep enough for a book. The footprint of the bike is great for a small space. I would guess you need a space about 3' x 5' to use the bike; 2' x 5' when it is not in use.

Use: This bike is very quiet, as advertised. I use a fitness tracker so I have not connected the monitor to the apps noted in the instructions. I used the monitor to gauge speed. The resistance adjustment is pretty easy to access while riding and can be adjusted while you ride. One caution is that this is not a bike for someone six feet or taller. I am about 5' 9" in workout shoes, and there is only a couple of inches left to adjust the seat for someone taller. The seat is comfortable. The back rest is also comfortable, but gets warm. A mesh back rest would be a better design.

Conclusion: I highly recommend this bike if you need a low-cost, high-quality recumbent bike, do not have much space, and want something quiet to operate.

Exercise bike red/black

Lots of parts to put together but wasn't to difficult. All tools are included. Family seems happy with it. They are using it..Easy to move around house. Locking/setting seat in place was a little hard to do at first but once I did it. No problem after that with setting it again. Have to push down really hard on handle. Seems sturdy.

Smooth - quiet - comfortable to use

My bike is very smooth, very quiet, very comfortable to use for a bigger, middle-aged guy. So far I have no complaints at all.

Excellent for our parents, age 85

My brother and I bought this for our dad (age 85) to help him continue movement throughout the winter. My husband put it together in about an hour and there was absolutely no problem with assembly. Both of my parents, who were pretty reluctant at first about it, both really like the bike. It's incredibly easy to get on and off (a huge hurdle with my parents' back/groin issues) and is sturdy and has a really helpful, easy display screen. I highly recommend!!!

So far I am loving this recumbent bike.

I like this bike because I do not have to go to the gym. Within the next few months, I will need knee surgery and going to the gym is more painful than the exercising. Same quality as the gym, it gets the job done. It took me a couple of hours to put together myself, I still could not figure out how to put straps on the peddles, however, it works fine without them.

Great Customer Service! They stand behind their bikes

Vanswe offers superb customer service. I had a problem with my bike, and when I contacted them by email they responded the same day. They sent me tools via Fed Ex and guided me to assess the problem. After I sent them photos, they again responded the same day and sent me the part I needed via Fed Ex to get my bike running smoothly again. Some of the best customer service I can remember receiving in a long time.

Very smooth riding bike.

The bike itself gives a very smooth ride and it is very sturdy. As for as putting it together, if you’re not in shape your body will be very sore.
