Great

The bike was easy to put together and seems very solid which is good because I am a bigger person. The electronics seem to work great also. All in all so far so good. Hope it has longevity.

Better than expected

This machine performs much better than expected for the price. It took about 2 hours to assemble after delivery and everything was included that was needed. It extremely quiet and provides a very smooth workout. Seat pad is a little thin so ordered an aftermarket recumbent bike seat cushion. Also would like computer integration with my watch so ordered a pedal cadence sensor. Was surprised that it even came with any kind of computer. Very impressed!

Great indoor bike for the price. Outstanding product support!

I was skeptical about this item due to the low price. However, I am pleasantly surprised at the quality and relative ease of assembly.

Assembly: It took me about 90 minutes to assembly, 30 of which involved unwrapping the yards of tape, plastic, and styrofoam in which the bike is packed. The bike comes with a box wrench and combo Allen wrench/screwdriver needed for assembly. The most important tool for assembly however is a box cutter to open the box and free the pieces. The actual assembly was easy--in the first step, make sure to attach the two base pieces in the correct place. The one with wheels goes on the front with the wheels facing forward and slightly down.

Bike: Once assembled, the bike is VERY sturdy and balanced. No movement front-to-back or side-to-side. There is a knob at the bottom of the frame below the seat that can be adjusted so there are five contact points to anchor the bike. You can easily move it by lifting the rear of the bike and using the small rollers on the front. This might be tougher on carpet as opposed to a smooth surface. The only flimsy part of the bike is the plastic monitor. The edge on top of the monitor fits a cell phone, Kindle, or tablet. It is not deep enough for a book. The footprint of the bike is great for a small space. I would guess you need a space about 3' x 5' to use the bike; 2' x 5' when it is not in use.

Use: This bike is very quiet, as advertised. I use a fitness tracker so I have not connected the monitor to the apps noted in the instructions. I used the monitor to gauge speed. The resistance adjustment is pretty easy to access while riding and can be adjusted while you ride. One caution is that this is not a bike for someone six feet or taller. I am about 5' 9" in workout shoes, and there is only a couple of inches left to adjust the seat for someone taller. The seat is comfortable. The back rest is also comfortable, but gets warm. A mesh back rest would be a better design.

Conclusion: I highly recommend this bike if you need a low-cost, high-quality recumbent bike, do not have much space, and want something quiet to operate.

EDIT--July 2026. After working fine for several months, the display stopped working. The pulse would register, but not time, distance, or calories, and the display would shut off after two or three minutes. I contacted the seller via Amazon, and they promptly sent a replacement display board. When that did not address the issue, the seller worked with me over several days to identify the problem. The support team sent a replacement sensor wire and the tools necessary to remove one of the pedals to replace the sensor wire. In about 30 minutes, I disassembled a portion of the bike, replaced the wire, and reassembled the bike. The display now works perfectly. It is a rare thing now days for a company to stand by its product, especially a year after the original purchase.

Terrific Bike in Every Way

This bike is amazing! Really well built for the money! Very easy to assemble, sleek and EXTREMELY QUIET, smooth operation, and very easy on the knees and good for them as well. Comfy seat and backrest, too. Please note on assembly, DO NOT cut the zip tie from the pedals to frame until instructed to do so. Also inspect all packing materials for small parts and do not discard until bike is assembled. I am really enjoying this bike, and you will too!

Vanderbilt RB407

I love it! The seat is comfortable and the pedaling is absolutely quiet. It is easy to get on and off and a perfect size for a townhouse.Assembling it took about an hour and a bit of guessing was required. I recommend this machine for any senior because the quality is that good.

Took a little longer to put together than I thought , but works great! I would recommend this bike to anyone., especially seniors.

Simple and perfect for me!

Top 2 favorite things… quiet and comfortable seat.
No bells and whistles but meets my needs perfectly and I like it so much I am on it every day!

Just what I needed

I am very happy with my bike. It is exactly what I needed to keep an exercise program at my 71 years of age. Easy to assemble, easy to ride and the pounds are melting away. I would recommend this bike to anyone who may not be able to join a spinning class.

Solid Recumbent Bike so far!

I have actually had the bike put together for a week and feel like it is a quality purchase thus far. It definitely is what I needed post lumbar spine surgery to help me with my progress. Still working on the functionality but I am getting the hang of it! I will update my review in a few weeks or so.

Get the VANSWE RB505

Get the black RB505. I extensively researched all Recumbent Elliptical trainers/bikes with arm exerciser and foot platforms (not strap-in bike pedals). The packaging was excellent and the mechanical workmanship exceptional. All nuts, bolts, connections, everything are precision made, no cheap hardware. Recommend assemble with real tools (socket, box wrench, torx/star tool, screwdrivers); not the toy tools provided. No need to remove rubber bands that hold electrical connections, just don't pinch any wires. If anything seems loose, just shake and fully tighten up looseness after assembly and upon initial riding. Works smooth as butter. Quiet. I'm convinced the RB505 is the very best for cost/benefit. It takes time to unpack and to assemble, but worth it. I unpacked one day and assembled the next. Don't be in a hurry. RB505 Trainer works great with zero negatives. Big Seat is absolutely worth it. Instructions are sequential with good numbering of every piece, although they sometimes say nuts & bolts in the singular when obviously should be plural. We put ours between his & her matching recliners in family room, twelve feet from 85" TV. Commit to this highest weight capacity for its sturdiness and you won't regret it no matter what your size.

nice bike

It's a great, small, and quiet bike. The directions were OK, but could have been better. It is perfect for my needs and I'm very happy with it.

Better than expected.

Works well Im 6'3" and just had knee replacement 6 weeks ago. Needed recumbent bike and its doing great. Bout hour thirty to set up.

Comfortable and Easy to Use at Home

The riding position felt weird for the first couple sessions — like I wasn't working hard enough. But my heart rate told a different story, and my knees stopped complaining almost immediately. Lower back feels better too.

A nice bike

Solid recumbent bike, very quiet, feels stable, seat is decent. Console is basic and setup takes some patience, but for the price I’d definitely recommend it.

Physical Therapist Recommended

I have peroneal tendonitis in both feet. My doctor removed all weight bearing exercises and sent me to work with a physical therapist. I use a recumbent exercise bike at therapy. I asked my therapist what a good brand was for a home bike and he recommended this one. I absolutely love this bike! It suits my needs and allows me to exercise without putting weight onto my feet. Pros: Easy on joints, Quiet, Manageable assembly, Small footprint Cons: None so far!

Such A Great Product!

I'm so impressed with the quality of this product. It's sturdy and feels like quality, and was actually pretty simple to put together. It's very comfortable to ride and intuitive to use. Worth every penny!

Great bike for seniors

I bought this bike because I wanted to build up strength in my legs. I am also 62 and needed it not to be too difficult. I really enjoyed using my new bike and it fits into my routine. Very well built and easy to assemble.

Does the job

Arrived with only one missing screw. Setup was easy. It functions well.

Perfect!!!!

I was skeptical about the fit, but it was a perfect fit and it works great!!!

Pedals, cranks, and seats ....

Your customer support is excellent;, and my bike is back up and going again. A pedal and crank replacement on the left side was required and the material was shipped to me quickly and was very fairly priced. When I got the left side crank and pedal they were different than the right side and the real problem was the new rank was over an inch shorter. It turned out that the pedals and ranks for my bike had been redesigned, and Vanswe Fitness quickly shippd the right side replacements to match, and after the installation I found it to be quite an improvement. I also needed a replacement seat back and one was shipped to me at no charg3 and all I had to do was pay freight. Very pleased with this organization and their customer suport people.

Cost-effective alternative to gym memberships

Excellent bike! I’m saving about $70 a month compared to gym memberships. Assembly was straightforward—having a second person definitely helps. It offers multiple resistance levels, runs quietly, and is simple to operate. The entire family enjoys using it.

Finished Strong ...

Got off to a rough start explaining my concern about getting a left pedal that did not match my right pedal pedal, and getting a let crank that was shorter by an inch or more than the right crank. But after a few emails customer service finished strong and I am happy with the outcome.

Ideal for joint or back care; operates quietly!

I’m really appreciating what this recumbent exercise bike offers. It’s comfortable to use, and even with my back and knee issues, I haven’t experienced any discomfort. The range of resistance levels and performance tracking features keeps the workouts engaging and motivating.

Get on and off smoothly

The open-frame design has been a lifesaver for me. After a serious accident, swinging my leg over a traditional bike frame became impossible. With this model, I can simply step through and sit down—no struggle at all. I didn’t want to deal with the complicated assembly, so I had a handyman put it together.
